Purpose of Position:
Help the world's environment with your electrical engineering skills. Work side-by-side in a cross functional team developing new environmental water quality & quantity, weather and solar instruments.
Design and analyze electrical hardware circuits to reliably achieve functional requirements and quantitative specifications.
Design electrical tests to verify performance of electrical hardware circuits and demonstrate insensitivity of the design to parameters including component and manufacturing variation, temperature, humidity, aging, corrosion, esd, emc and vibration and shock.
Completes requirements for Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews
Demonstrates a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures.
Other Non-Essential Functions:
BS with a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience or an MS with 5 years o relevant experience
Has knowledge of commonly-used circuits, analysis and measurement tools
Has knowledge of ISO quality systems (specifically Design Controls/Product Realization) and related requirements.
Proven skill in the areas required to perform this job:
Circuit design, modeling, performance analysis and tradeoff analysis
Design and implementation of circuit testing in all phases of product development lifecycle
Specialization in one or more of the following areas:
Low level analog signal processing and A to D conversion
Low level analog measurements in the presence of noise
Experience in design and qualification of water quality & quantity sensors
Experience in design and qualification of weather sensors
Experience in design and qualification of solar sensors
Experience in design and qualification of dataloggers
Circuit layout, to achieve performance, cost and compliance goals
VOC and Product Definition
Industry Contacts and Participation in Industry
Communication and Presentation Skills
PCB layout for AC signal integrity, DC signal integrity and EMC
The salary range for this role is 71K - 123K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
