The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) designs and develops electronics and test equipment for RF, EW, Communications and EO sensors. HWEC provides engineering, technology development, and manufacturing support for an extensive line of airborne, ground, and space-based systems. Forest, MS is the center of excellence for developing and testing of tactical airborne Radars.
We are currently seeking an Electrical / Network Engineer to join our adaptable, diverse, and rapidly growing team.
This position is located in Forest, MS.
The Sil Operator runs the equipment that operates systems under test. They collect and analyze status reports and logs from all BITE capable component. They use software tools to diagnose hardware problems.
6+ yrs of relevant experience related to network engineering design or troubleshooting
Experience performing integration test of radar systems and operating/monitoring control systems
In-depth understanding of network technologies and associated services, administration, and security practices/techniques
Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols
Cognizant of network topologies as well as understand necessary configuration details
US Citizenship is required, as individual must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance within first year of employment
Infrastructure-related certifications preferred such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-Junos), Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Security (JNCIS-SEC), Juniper Networks Certified Professional Security (JNCIPSEC)
Experience using network monitoring and automation tools for troubleshooting and task simplification
Software development experience
Software tools (ie MatLab, National Instruments)
Secret DoD Security Clearance
Minimum Education (including Major):
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of 6 yrs of prior relevant experience.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of 4 yrs of experience
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
