Job Description

The SAS Hardware Engineering Center is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Radar Products Design group.

The candidate will work in the following areas:

  • Design in any one or combination of the following fields:

  • RF (Radio Frequency) / Microwave,

  • Mixed Signal,

  • Power,

  • Development of related design and test documents,

  • Development of all aspects of CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) design,

  • Development of module level designs,

  • Development of related test equipment, and

  • Troubleshooting, integration, and test of new and existing designs.

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Preferred Skills

  • 5 years of RF/Microwave, Mixed Signal, and/or Power design,

  • Experience with common, field related computer aided design tools,

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new computer aided design tools,

  • Adept with oral and written communications,

  • Ability to work in a team environment interfacing with other disciplines, and

  • Ability to lead and mentor team members in the design field.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or related Engineering discipline.

Travel: Occasional travel to other Raytheon and supplier sites.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

The engineer will have responsibility for the design, development, and sustainment of state-of-the-art Transmit/Receive (T/R) microwave functions (modules, TRIMMs, module-less, planar, etc). This position is within Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) division Hardware Engineering Center. The engineer will reside within the Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) Antenna Core Products (ACP) department in Dallas, Texas. The HWEC ACP department is responsible for full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for microwave products, including architecture trades, design, layout, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions. The engineer will implement best practice standards with regard to the planning, coordination, and execution of microwave design and test with sound engineering process discipline and leadership. Required Skills: * Minimum of 6 years related work experience and a BS degree, 4 years and an MS, 2 years and a PhD. * Design knowledge of transmit/receive functions covering large frequency range (MHz thru Ka-band) * Experience in the design, layout, development, test and verification of T/R functions at microwave frequencies * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and layout tool (AutoCAD, Mentor or other) * U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems. * U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
