Responsibilities

Job Description:

This position is for an Electrical Engineer in the exciting field of Research and Development in Advanced Antenna Sub-Systems. The Engineer will work closely with a Senior Engineer to develop innovative test solutions, integrate developmental hardware, and generate and deliver presentations to technical audiences. The position will entail programming of coordinated test activities encompassing test equipment and devices under test in a lab environment. There are opportunities for growth into RF Sub-System design and integration.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Matlab, Python, C/C++/C#
  • Systems or Sub-Systems experience
  • RF and/or Electronics Lab Test experience
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Desired Skills:

  • RF Modeling and Simulation experience

  • Familiarity with Lab Test Equipment (oscilloscope, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer)

  • Current DoD Secret Security Clearance

Required Education:

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering and 6 years of experience, MS and 4 years of experience, PhD and 2 years of experience.

The IPTL shall be capable of developing technical baseline and lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to design, build, test and deliver products to our customer within the budget and achieving schedule milestones. The IPTL will be required to communicate well to a variety of engineers, management and customers from Principal Investigator (PI), Chief Engineer (CE), Program Managers, Functional Managers, other IPTLs and individual contributors. The IPTL will manage multiple programs/tasks, report program, understand and report the Earned Value while also engaging effectively with the technical team: design engineers, technicians and Fellows. The IPTL will also be responsible from achieving schedule milestones on-time and within allotted budget while managing his/her staff. The IPTL is expected to solve technical issues within his domain(s) of expertise and help team in overcoming issues that impede program progress, allowing core staff to concentrate on their given Work Products. This position will be responsible for generating financial Estimate at Complete (EAC), supporting program Gate reviews, and facilitate independent Peer reviews of all Work Products. He/she will also participate in new business activities including proposals, preparing bids, and developing basis of estimates. This position will require the IPTL to manage multiple programs/activities at any time. In addition this position may be asked to lead current IRAD efforts. The IPTL shall act independently, guided only by very broad company policies and objectives. The IPTL shall be able to apply advanced principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems which requires coordination of technologies across program requirements. The IPTL shall lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external stakeholders / customers.
