Senior Electrical Engineer – MA - 1091Overview:
Our Boston-based client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee all aspects of electrical design and project planning, serving as Lead Engineer on assigned projects. This role includes representing the company in meetings, supervising a team of designers and drafters, and potentially acting as Project Manager for select projects.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as Lead Engineer, coordinating project aspects with the Project Manager and Team Leader.
- Responsible for designing and producing building electrical systems, including attending meetings, conducting site surveys, coordinating with other disciplines/consultants, and preparing narratives, reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage assigned engineering aspects of projects and ensure technical content of contract documents (drawings, specs, reports) meets standards.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader and/or Technical Director to review conceptual designs and ensure timely project/task completion.
- Coordinate with the project manager and team members on all technical project aspects.
- Ensure work aligns with proposal scope and budget.
- Implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes per company standards and update Project Manager accordingly.Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical design.
- Experience in designing building electrical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Qualifications:
- Strong technical background with knowledge of systems and applications in commercial, institutional, medical, and public buildings (e.g., healthcare, biotech, higher education, office, mixed-use residential, hotels).
- Familiarity with Electrical Code, Building Codes, energy codes, and NFPA codes and standards.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and clients.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- PE license preferred, but not required.Benefits:
