Position Summary: We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Designer, specializing in Oil and Gas Facility design.

This role is ideal for a self-sufficient and highly experienced professional who can not only work independently without the need for engineering oversight but also possesses the leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of junior designers. Job Location: This position is open to candidates that in in or near TRC offices nationwide.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Independently lead and oversee the design and drafting of complex electrical, instrumentation and control systems for Oil and Gas facilities using AutoCAD. Collaborate effectively with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure that designs align perfectly with project specifications and requirements.

Developing, with minimal engineering support, and managing comprehensive technical construction drawings and documentation, including but not limited to Power Distribution, Lighting, Motor Control, PLC/RTU controls, Network Communications, Heat Tracing, Grounding Systems, Instrument Plans, Conduit/Circuit Schedules, Bills of Materials, Control Panel Layouts, wiring diagrams, Instrument Loop and I/O Schematic Drawings. Providing high quality, consistent drawings, including detailed development and checking of drawings to be accurate. Closely coordinating drawing design with process, mechanical and civil groups, including applying P&ID drawing information into the electrical/controls/instrumentation drawings.

Conduct rigorous calculations and analysis to guarantee that designs are not only safe and efficient but also adhere strictly to industry standards and Client requirements. Strong experience using the NEC codes for sizing conduits, cable trays, cable sizes, NFPA and AGA codes to develop Hazardous Area Plans and Details for natural gas pipelines and compressor stations. Review of Vendor documentation and Client information interfaces for developing drawings.

Take initiative in reviewing and interpreting technical data and project specifications to ensure all design requirements are met. Act as a mentor and technical leader to junior designers, enhancing their skills in design techniques, standards, and procedures. Conduct field inspections and provide pivotal support during the construction and commissioning phases.

Foster collaboration with other technical teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Qualifications Qualifications: A minimum of an Associate's Degree in a relevant field.

At least 15 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD in electrical and instrumentation design, specifically in the Oil and Gas industry. Experience also in MicroStation is a plus. Thorough understanding and expertise in the applicable codes, standards, and regulations specific to the Oil and Gas sector.

Proficiency in interpreting and creating complex technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Extensive knowledge of instrumentation and electrical equipment used in Oil and Gas facilities. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, suitable for a team leader. Demonstrated experience in successfully leading a team and working collaboratively with diverse departments and stakeholders. A proven track record of delivering high-quality, efficient designs within stipulated timelines and budgets.

Compensation: Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
