The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
KLA is ramping its fastest-growing new research & development center in Ann Arbor, MI, and we're hiring the best talent! The Ann Arbor team is developing product equipment, test centers, and the software and AI algorithms that power the cutting-edge capabilities that KLA is recognized for.
Responsibilities for this exciting role will include:
Design FPGA based high speed PCB, including circuit design, schematic capture, simulation and layout review
FPGA design and sustaining support, work with FPGA engineer to design test validation fixtures, functional and/or post layout simulations, timing analysis, FPGA functionality verification and validation
Understand and capture the project specifications and performance requirements at board and system level.
Manage project timelines, budget and deliverables.
Write technical documentation that meets defined quality standards for manufacturing and service team as required.
Qualifications/Education Desired
5-7 year experience with FPGA and board level design including design, development and integration of complex boards and subsystems (including PCBs, Cables, System interconnect)
Solid knowledge of electrical design principles, mixed signal design at theoretical and practical implementation level
Experience with FPGA (Xilinx UltraScale or Intel Aria 10) development with proficiency using simulation tools.
Knowledge of using complex FPGA IPs such as embedded processors (ARM/MicroBlaze), Ethernet MAC and DDR memory controller is a plus.
Knowledge of camera and image acquisition including communication interface is a plus
Hands on experience with lab equipment like logic analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.
Team player with excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong technical project management skills
Self-motivated and good leadership skills
MSEE is highly preferred

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience or
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
