Sr. EHS Professional

Piper Life Sciences is actively looking for a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Professional to join a global pharmaceutical organization that provides solutions and therapies for chronic disorders. The Sr. EHS Professional will contribute to the development of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes and systems. This person will serve as a group lead, and report to the EHS Director. This is a full time position in Durham, North Carolina (NC).

Responsibilities of the Sr. EHS Professional:

• Manage and set direction for safety process, and process safety management (PSM) systems

• Design and execute chemical management safety programs

• Serve as SME for safety and environmental requirements

• Direct corrective actions and continued improvements when safety concerns arise

• Support project executions and compliance through risk assessments (PHA, LOPA, FMEA, HazOP)

• Ensure alignment with internal and external teams regarding EHS procedures

Qualifications of the Sr. EHS Professional:

• B.S./M.S. in an Engineering, Scientific or a related discipline

• 5 + years of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience and/or chemical safety in a manufacturing/industrial environment

• Proven experience with regulated, high hazard environments

• Chemical Compliance experience, specifically Toxic Substance Control Act knowledge

• Strong foundation and knowledge of OSHA regulations

Compensation of the Sr. EHS Professional:

• Salary: $160,000 - $175,000 or based on relevant industry experience
