About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Due Diligence Consultant to join the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) CAO Financial Crimes (FC) Quality Assurance (QA) Program. This person will be an individual contributor within the team that performs QA execution functions within the WIM Financial Crimes QA Program.

The successful candidate will work closely with the WIM FC QA Leader and External Managers and Team Members to contribute to improving the level of execution, oversight, partnership, and coordination across the group in sensitive and emerging areas of risk across WIM Financial Crimes Operations. This role will be responsible for the development and ongoing execution of QA processes. The successful candidate should be well rounded and versatile with a range of skills and experience, including customer due diligence and quality assurance. Critical problem solving, and process improvement would also be advantageous. The ability to collaborate well with others, communicate thoughtfully, and contribute meaningfully to process and control design/execution work is critical to the role.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute quality assurance processes over Financial Crimes related Wealth and Investment Management Operational processes.

  • Partner with QA Leadership to develop material and succinct recommendations surrounding WIM controls, LOB processes and other shortcomings potentially identified.

  • Partners with vertical and horizontal stakeholders to ensure QA activities align with broader WIM approach.

  • Engage with process specific WIM Financial Crimes Partners to ensure proactive issue management is incorporated into the WIM Financial Crimes QA Program.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on documentation and data sources and exercise independent judgment to guide moderate to high-risk deliverables.

  • Partner with Reporting and Governance leaders to report monthly results and escalate when necessary.

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and partner to lead team to meet functional area process deliverables.

  • Leverage solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements applicable to the WIM line of business.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers and internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

  • Participate in the WIM Financial Crimes Governance function including internal credible challenge and facilitation of execution team member training.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Due Diligence experience, or equivalent (including risk management, client service, operations support, or business process management) demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Financial services industry experience, preferably in Wealth Management

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Financial Crimes and Quality Assurance experience

  • Experience executing Quality Assurance processes

  • Experience providing credible challenge to ensure alignment with Financial Crimes program objectives

  • Knowledge and understanding of Financial Crimes risk identification and mitigation

  • CAMS Certification

  • Enhanced Due Diligence Experience

  • AML/BSA Regulatory Familiarity

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Effective organizational and relationship management skills
