We are currently looking for a clinician to join our treatment team. In this position, you would fulfill the following essential functions:

  • Conduct screening and assessment activities to determine detoxification, substance use and mental health diagnosis, level of care and functioning, and recommend a clinical course of treatment.

  • Apply motivational techniques and case management to promote engagement in treatment.

  • Conduct continuing care and monitoring of recovery efforts post-treatment.

  • Provide engaging patient education, cognitive behavioral, psycho-education, process, and relapse prevention group therapies.

  • Act as liaison and bridge to family, community involved agencies, primary care, and other service providers.

  • Provide services that are family and community oriented, person centered, culturally competent, and trauma-informed.

  • Provide case management, resource information and referral services.

Requirements

Those with the following qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology. or a Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience working in community or behavioral health system.

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Professional Counselor in State of Oregon or capacity to secure within 24 months of employment.

  • Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor II (CADC II) or capacity to secure within 24 months of employment.

All CODA facilities are drug-free and smoke-free worksites. Employees may not be serving any supervised parole or probation. Individuals in recovery from substance use disorders must be able to demonstrate continuous abstinence per OAR 309-032-1520.

VIEW JOBS 2/1/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-01T00:00 Position Summary: The Alcohol & Drug Outreach Worker is responsible for providing quality outreach services for substance abuse assessment and treatment programs to parents referred by DHS Child Welfare. The A & D Outreach Worker will work individually with parents by building on strengths and reducing barriers to available services, and as a team member with other A & D Outreach Workers and Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselors. Education, Training & Experience: * One year of relevant experience in the chemical dependency field is required. * Experience in the addiction and recovery process required. * Motivational interviewing skills and client engagement strategies preferred. * Certified Recovery Mentor certification preferred. Competencies: * Knowledge of mental health issues and child welfare services. * Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and orally. * Computer literate, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). * Time management and organizational skills. Additional Eligibility Requirements: * Ability to pass a criminal background check. * Reliable vehicle, active driver's license, current insurance and the ability to pass our insurer's driving standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Help eliminate barriers to treatment for parents referred by DHS Child Welfare by providing transportation, resources, and support. Initial contact with clients' needs to occur within 24 hours of receiving the referral. * Prepare accurate records of client services provided daily by preparing clear, concise reports. * Maintain good communication and relationships with DHS Child Welfare case workers, treatment providers/case managers, coworkers and other community partners. * Attend family meetings, child safety meetings, and Court Review Hearings as needed. Other Responsibilities: * Perform other duties as assigned by Program Supervisor. * Maintain ongoing education and training as needed.
