Sr. Distribution Analyst, Process & Systems

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Sr. Distribution Analyst, Process & Systems. As a Senior Distribution Analyst specializing in Process and Systems Improvement, you will play a critical role in optimizing our warehouse operations through the development and implementation of efficient processes and advanced technological solutions. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, systems management, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance productivity, and ensure the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing warehouse processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

• Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, increase throughput, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize procedures and implement best practices across multiple warehouse locations.

• Assess the effectiveness of current warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and related technologies.

• Identify opportunities to enhance system functionality, usability, and integration with other business systems.

• Lead initiatives to upgrade existing systems or implement new solutions to support evolving business needs and improve overall operational efficiency.

• Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of operational issues.

• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure warehouse performance and track progress against improvement goals.

• Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate findings, highlight areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by championing change initiatives, fostering innovation, and promoting employee engagement.

• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams focused on specific improvement projects or initiatives.

• Monitor the implementation of improvement plans, assess their impact, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

• Provide training and support to warehouse staff on new processes, systems, and tools.

• Develop training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure consistency in operations.

• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on analytical techniques, project management, and problem-solving methodologies.

Job Requirements

• WMS experience is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated analytical, business process and problem-solving experience

• Prior experience engaging cross-functional teams designed to identify analytical and savings efficiencies and design solutions.

• Strong communications and process skills with the ability to evaluate and challenge the current state.

• Self-starter who thrives working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.

• Creative and innovative thinker with proven ability to drive results.

• Proven organizational and priority-setting skills. Ability to achieve results and execute simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and communicating status.

• Proficient in Microsoft programs include Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Strong computer skills including significant expertise in Excel-based modeling and analysis.

• Team player that can independently manage multiple priorities in an efficient manner.

• Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks; work within time constraints; and shifting priorities is required.

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Ability to successfully interface with carrier's representatives.
