Job Summary:

The Senior Director, Venue Transitions is responsible for installing INSPIRE in-house operations into new venues, leading seamless transitions that introduce INSPIREs core values, service standards, and culture to our new venue partners. This position will be involved with pre-opening activities including site visits, capex procurement, talent acquisition, logistics planning, and will be active in cultivating relationships with key venue personnel. This role may manage teams of Transition Team Leaders and Transition Technicians as business levels justify.

In addition to an extremely competitive salary, the Sr. Director of Venue Transitions will recieve up to 20% discretionary yearly bonus

Industry knowledge

o Minimum five (5) years industry experience

o Successful track record managing full-service in-house service expectations for Event Technology sales and operations.

o Experience with recruiting and hiring in the Event Technology field, including a strong understanding of the unique skills, qualifications, and industry trends relevant to event technology professionals.

o Proven technical knowledge with the ability to recommend optimal event technology capex for a wide range of venue types.

o Familiarity with the major hotel brands and their distinct approaches to hospitality, including knowledge of brand standards, service offerings, and customer experience expectations.

Professional skills

o Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

o Excellent presentation skills.

o Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.

o Proficient in all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

o Demonstrated business acumen and experience working with senior level executives.

o Strong business relationship management and inter-departmental collaboration skills.

o Proven track record of influence with customers; ability to gain buy-in for shared objectives

Primary Duties

Refine and standardize transition best practices.

o Maintain a standardized and comprehensive transition checklist.

o Build customized and polished transition packet for all large-scale brand roll-outs.

o Solicit customer feedback to continually refine our processes.

o Develop creative and innovative differentiators to exceed venue expectations.,

Lead pre-opening planning.

o Manage pre-opening sales and operational tasks or assign to appropriate transition team members.

o Oversee capex budget, equipment and supply requests, and work with Procurement team to fulfill orders on time.

o Work with Recruiting team and RVPs on talent recruiting and hiring.

o Plan physical move-in and opening week with Logistics team.

o Monitor transition checklist timeline progress to stay on schedule.

Oversee physical move-in and setup.

o Act as on-site transition lead.

o Schedule and lead introductory meetings with venue departments and key contacts.

o Manage office and storage setup, including light remodeling work as needed.

o Oversee new team member onboarding and initial training - working with INSPIRE Learning and Development.

o Plan and execute group events during transition week.

Manage post-transition follow-up.

o Turn over sales and operations management to RVPs and Hospitality support team.

o Monitor and review first 2 weeks of daily operations.

o Follow-up on any incomplete transition checklist items.

Role involves travel for site visits, pre-opening meetings, and physical move-in/transition week. Expected 40-60%

Other

Must have a valid drivers license.

Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
