The impact you will make: Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Sr. Director, US Patient Marketing to join our growing GDD Marketing team.

We want someone who cares about this important work, and who's driven to connect to our mission of helping these patient communities. The Sr. Director, US Patient Marketing will be responsible for all aspects of the patient experience including brand education to patients/caregivers and DTP/DTC advertising.

This individual will also be responsible for collaboration, alignment and partnering with the Advocacy team, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) team and the Patient Support Manager (PSM) team, to ensure consistent communication of disease, brand and patient services messages to patients and caregivers. The Senior Director, US Patient Marketing, will lead all aspects of Patient Marketing Strategy & Execution - disease and brand - across PKD & Thalassemia in the US market.  This person will also be responsible for a small team of marketers focused on the patient and caregiver audiences.

  This person will be accountable for meeting key disease and brand objectives and contributing to revenue performance in the US market. What you will do: Develop and oversee execution of patient education strategy, personal and non-personal, including media and digital strategy, asset creation (branded and unbranded) Lead development of integrated omni-channel DTP/DTC campaign Manage consumer/patient agencies Partner with HCP marketing team, Advocacy team, CNE team, PSM team to ensure consistent implementation of disease & brand strategy and messaging Partner with PR/Communications team on external communications initiatives and specific campaigns related to patients Manage Patient Marketing budget effectively including regular tracking of spend Provide coaching, development, and day-to-day management of direct reports.

This person must demonstrate strong leadership presence through influencing without authority with high-level management, clear communication, and excellent strategic thinking. This position requires extensive interactions with multiple stakeholders.    What you bring:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.

Postgraduate qualification, PhD, MBA, or other graduate degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of pharma/biotech marketing experience with a minimum of 7 years demonstrated patient marketing experience including DTC via digital approaches and TV/interactive TV is required.

Patient marketing experience during a launch is required.

A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.

A demonstrated ability to partner and work with multiple agencies/vendors, manage budgets and projects, cross-functionally, and with cross-company teams of high-level managers and executives is required.

A demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and driving decision making is required. Demonstrated ability to formally manage, coach, and develop direct reports is strongly preferred. Strong verbal, written and executive communication skills are required along with demonstrated presentation skills.

Senior brand responsibility, people management, product launch, and a solid understanding of pharmaceutical development is preferred. This position requires up to 25% travel. Work Location:

Location Agnostic: Work location for this role is based on employee's individual preference. This role has the ability to be either remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters.

Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutable distance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees work entirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/ meetings. For employees who choose to work remotely, travel may be required for certain company events commensurate to the above job description.
