The Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing leads by example, and through partnership to drive competitive advantage and value for AngioDynamics. You are accountable for developing strategies to deliver sustainable results across various direct materials and indirect spend categories by identifying new opportunities for value and process improvement. As a leader within the Strategic Sourcing Organization, you are responsible for developing strong and effective business partner relationships with senior leaders across multiple functions and regions, while enabling and inspiring a team. The Sr. Director will manage a portfolio of categories and have accountability to delivery against department and functional goals. You will need a strong sense of urgency and the ability to succinctly frame issues and alternatives to drive decisions forward.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engages and establishes business partnerships with cross functional leadership across AngioDynamics to collaborate, influence, and drive sourcing strategies.

  • Manages multiple complex sourcing strategies, scope requirements, Business Partnerships, and navigate complexity within a large global matrixed organization.

  • Builds and develops strategic sourcing professionals across both technical and leadership capabilities while creating an environment that is diverse, inclusive, and encouraging.

  • Creates a shared vision by embedding and integrating the role of strategic sourcing into various parts of the business.

  • Supports broader strategic sourcing leadership team on goal setting and annual planning.

  • Develops long term portfolio category strategies that are directly linked to functional cost savings objectives and AngioDynamics goals.

  • Provides high level guidance on the overall continuous strategic sourcing process from needs identification, through supplier performance management across multiple corporate services categories.

  • Maintain strong external focus by leveraging industry peers, organizations, associations and by continuing to build strong relationships outside of AngioDynamics.

  • A champion for change that can act decisively to drive decisions, while demonstrating agility to support the evolution of business needs.

  • Builds effective strategic relationships with external suppliers to drive and execute category strategies.

  • Communicates effectively and frequently, listens carefully, and actively seeks and values the perspectives of others.

  • Develop and manage category wide SRM plans with a focus on year over year cost savings, continuous improvement, and innovation.

  • Support the implementation of Global Sourcing policies and procedures.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May perform other duties as assigned

Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Manages in order to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements

QUALITY SYSTEMS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management - Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented

VIEW JOBS 10/25/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-23T00:00 Job Description Primary responsibilities of this position are to identify and deliver material cost savings, optimize existing supplier base, conduct risk analyses and develop strategies to minimize, and support R&D activities from project inception through transfer to manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Analyze annual direct and indirect material purchase volumes and determine opportunities to reduce cost based on negotiations, volume commitments, etc. Deliver year over year cost savings. Supports strategic spend reduction initiatives. * Determine risk levels associated within supply base (ex. sole source suppliers) and develop alternates as required. Use formal risk analysis methods and implement business processes to minimize risk. * Manage supplier development/validation according to the sourcing strategic plan for the R&D departments as they develop new products/components. * Oversee process to maintain supplier files. Review, manage, and maintain Supply Agreements for purchased materials. Identify supplier relationships that need Supply Agreements and implement. * Set strategic plan for the team and manage resources to accomplish business requirements. Ensure uninterrupted supply of material. * Implement metrics to ensure processes are performing as designed. * Support insourcing and outsourcing activities; identify and develop potential suppliers.
