Job Summary

Strategic initiatives serve as a strategic advisor, with line of sight, to various business units with an emphasis on providing a strategic direction to organize Comcast Corporation's assets into value-generating synergies. The Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for the planning and advising for a range of initiatives that develop value-generating synergy opportunities for Comcast Corporation. This includes leveraging a Symphony approach, asset alignment, and plans for implementation and administration that include but are not limited to: partnering with Comcast Connected Health, the Symphony programs e.g. MILDevelopment, Employee Engagement Programs, Internet Essentials, and Gender Equality Programs.

Core Responsibilities

This role will engage directly with senior leadership and employees across the organization to provide thought leadership, execution, reporting, and direction of projects that will drive revenue and business growth and increase employee engagement. Will develop roadmap for success for initiatives through partnership opportunities with strategically aligned brands. Critical to this role will be maintaining and managing operational budgets and maintaining a collaborative team culture.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead business development activities to develop meaningful partnerships with high consumer interest and high partner value. Develop processes to support those partnerships.

  • Translate strategic vision and motivate cross-functional partners to ensure all programs meet or exceed all quality standards, competitive benchmarks, and performance metrics.

  • Work closely with cross functional teams on client development, custom creative ideas, value-driven content and programs, activations for sponsors and recurring partnership opportunities.

  • Build an extensive network and partner list, that includes potential partners across multiple industries

  • Coach, develop and motivate members of team to help skill development, maintain focus and drive performance against targets.

  • Create a comprehensive marketing strategy and campaigns in a collaborative effort.

  • Attend industry-specific events and conferences to generate new business leads.

  • Collaborate internally with partners and vendors to implement dynamic, leading-edge Symphony programs that increase employee engagement and build loyalty for Comcast Corporation

  • Work with other business areas to continually optimize performance, communicate learnings, and provide status updates to stakeholders

  • Proven track record of driving strategy for programs and successfully hitting targets

  • Strong event management expertise, with a proven track record of delivering results, assessing complex problems, overcoming obstacles, achieving key milestones, and driving implementation success

  • High degree of organizational astuteness and ability to successfully navigate complex organizational dynamics

  • Demonstrated track record of success in collaborating, influencing, and building strong relationships at all organizational levels and across multiple business areas

  • Very strong communication and presentation delivery skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers to think creatively about employee-related approaches

  • Adept at building high-quality relationships versus having a purely impersonal transactional approach

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects; highly organized

  • Highly adaptable and able to handle ambiguous situations, shifting priorities, and evolving direction

  • Experience in vendor management, negotiations, and evaluation

  • Ability to plan and facilitate effective, productive meetings/workgroups of varying size

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Works closely with Finance leadership to plan and manage the financial activities of the entity. Ensures that the policies, procedures and internal controls established by Legrand are in place and being followed. Dual reports to the GM of Cabinets & Containment and the VP of Finance for the Data Power and Control Division (DPC). What Will You Do? * Working closely with Finance leadership, prepares or directs preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, sales & margin/price & volume, financial position forecasts, and/or reports required by regulatory or tax agencies for the assigned entity. * Coordinate and direct the financial planning and budgeting for entity to ensure timely and accurate budget analysis and financial review for management team. Includes income statement, balance sheet and cash flow plus all metrics and analysis required to present budget for approval. * Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations in order to identify development opportunities or initiatives and areas where improvement is needed. Makes recommendations to Finance leadership to initiate policies, practices and procedures to improve overall financial performance. * Maintains knowledge of organizational and Legrand policies and procedures, stays current with federal and state tax requirements and generally accepted accounting principles to ensure they are implemented and adopted by all CCB entities. * Develop, train, motivate and manage staff on a day to day basis, establish goals and provide performance feedback per Legrand performance management process. * Recommends and leads new efforts to improve ROE / ROA performance. * Performs other similar and related duties as required. * Travel: 25% Qualifications Basic Qualifications Education: BS in Accounting or Finance Experience: 10 years of experience in Finance. Finance management experience within a manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills MBA or CPA preferred. Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business Must have excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level, and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions Must have strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
