CVS is seeking a new Senior Director to join the Front Store's Retail Innovation and Store Design (RISD) team. This team has been tasked with developing and scaling a number of breakthrough store formats as well as growing the productivity of existing stores. The role reports into the VP of RISD and will lead a team of 4 FTEs.
This specific role is leading the Store Formats and Productivity Analytics team. Responsibilities to include:
Development of CVS's format strategy across its entire fleet and ownership of the annual capital / expense spend to support this strategy
You will have end to end ownership of CVS's flagship Health and Beauty format
Provide analytical and executional support in the development of new store formats e.g. our Beauty format (BIRL) and Hispanic format (yMas)
Have deep analytics and reporting skills on existing store productivity with recommendations for optimization. You should have the ability to run and handle highly complicated quantitative analysis in a defect-free manner with a deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
Communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and on paper. Proficiency of Microsoft PowerPoint and ability to influence senior executives are both essential to this role
Dissect a problem into an organized approach and quickly form a hypothesis against which to run test analysis
Highly developed relationship-building skills to cultivate effective working relations across the Retail Merchandising team, functional and divisional leaders, and the Corporate Executive Committee
This role would suit someone with a retail experience, a robust strategic background, strong analytics, and a real passion for delivering results.
Additionally, you will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a confirmed interest in learning. This person will also need to be an ambitious, entrepreneurial, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment.
You are accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel and can demonstrate cross functional engagement. This is best validated by your ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.
5+ yrs of post MBA professional experience at a leading strategy consulting firm (e.g. Bain, BCG, McKinsey) or relevant retail company (e.g. Drug, Mass, Health, Beauty)
3+ yrs, running and owning P&L with experience in developing and delivering multi-million dollar initiatives for a large matrixed organization
3+ yrs experience successfully leading small teams of diverse backgrounds. Delivering personal development and engagement in equal measure
