Are you a customer experience driven, digital product manager? News America Marketing is looking for a Director of Product to drive large scale, fast moving projects from concept to launch. The Director of Product will be responsible for defining product features and requirements, articulating use cases, and defining the customer experience for new innovative digital initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Define new product features and requirements, UX, scope, and functionality

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to bring product concepts to launch

  • Help define product roadmaps, prioritize feature sets and partner with development teams

  • Obtain feedback on the product to iterate and drive improvements in future releases

  • Maintain pulse on external and internal product developments to assess implications for our products

Required Skills:

  • Enthusiasm and passion for great products and services and the ability to articulate product functionality

  • Outstanding project management skills

  • Self starter that is constantly thinking of new ways to add value to his teammates and taking individual accountability for getting results

  • Curiosity and hunger to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to make connections and find opportunities for innovation

  • Detail oriented, able to identify key questions, make product decisions and determine how pieces of the puzzle interact and impact the overall project

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high pressure environment

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment

  • Agile (Scrum) experience

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 7 years of Product Management / Product Development experience within AdTech industry

  • Experience with building Ad Networks, DSPs, exchanges and/or DMPs (Display, Video)

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 POSITION DETAILS The Fostering College Success Initiative (FCSI) is a college residential support program for youth in foster care made possible through a partnership between CUNY and Administration for Children's Services (ACS). Launched in 2016/17, FCSI includes a comprehensive dormitory program for youth in care attending CUNY. Students may reside in one of four CUNY residence halls (Queens College, College of Staten Island, City College, and effective fall 2018, John Jay) and may attend any CUNY college (with the exception of CSI). Students receive year-round room and board and financial support to cover their full cost of CUNY attendance including textbook and transportation stipends and waiver of any tuition/fees that remain after application of financial aid and any special programs' resources. Students also receive wrap-around services including tutoring, mentoring, counseling, and academic support services within the dormitory setting through ACS designated provider, New York Foundling and are strongly encouraged to join CUNY special support programs such as ASAP and SEEK/CD. FCSI will expand to 130 students in 2018-2019. To ensure that services and programming for youth in care are well integrated and coordinated, the Fostering Youth Initiatives Director will administer all aspects of FCSI program operations, communications, and reporting for this residential support program, as well as intersecting academic programs serving students in foster care who are attending CUNY. The director will play a critical role in directing work across CUNY and in collaborating with external partners to ensure participating students successfully transition into and through CUNY in their degree pursuits while residing on a CUNY campus or while engaged in CUNY student success programs, particularly the CUNY Start/ASAP Foster Care Initiative, a grant funded program that currently serves nearly half of all FCSI student, and manage efforts with leadership from Youth Matter, a state funded program for youth in care in SEEK/CD. The position reports to the ASAP University Executive Director. Key duties include but will not be limited to the following: * Oversee, establish and refine systems to document and report on students enrollment, billing, and financial aid status in collaboration with appropriate CUNY Central Office and partner college units (i.e.: registrar, bursar, financial aid, budget and finance). * Serve as primary liaison for colleges of residence and attendance, ACS, CUNY special programs, and New York Foundling to ensure effective program operations and fiscal management. * Manage internal and external partnerships related to CUNY's work serving foster care students to ensure students are successful in their academic pursuits and receive appropriate support services. * Work with the ASAP University Executive Director to cultivate new partnerships and funding opportunities to enhance program capacity and effectiveness. * Address student issues that may impact enrollment, registration, financial aid, and/or residence hall status in dialogue with ACS, partner colleges, and appropriate CUNY offices. * Oversee the preparation of ACS reports to document students enrollment and costs/expenditures in coordination with appropriate CUNY offices and college units. * Create and implement an evaluation agenda to assess program efficacy in collaboration with research and evaluation staff. * Prepare internal and external communications related to program operations and status. * Manage program budgets and staff members (tax levy and grant funded). QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUMBachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.PREFERRED * Advanced degree in a directly related discipline. * Eight years' related work experience managing an education program or initiative in public service, social service or education institution. * Broad understanding of public higher education policies and systems, the needs of low-income urban college students, and commitment to promoting college access and success in post-secondary education. * Strong critical analysis skills to assess and understand data from multiple sources. * Strong interpersonal communication, writing, presentation, negotiation and group facilitation skills. * Strong relationship and fiscal management skills with ability to successfully address issues that may arise across budget, financial aid, programmatic, and partnership elements of many intersecting program areas. * Strong organizational and follow-through skills to devise and execute work plans, prioritize work, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Strong leadership and staff management skills with ability to delegate duties and evaluate work timely. * Proactive, flexible, and customer focused to work effectively, both independently and as a team member, in a fast-paced work environment with diverse members of the university community and external constituents. * Computer proficiency using administrative, financial or academic programs, systems or databases, plus online survey systems, project management and social media tools.
