Position: Senior Director, People Business Partner

The Opportunity: The Senior Director, People Business Partner will be responsible for strengthening our business by maximizing human capital. This critical role will act as a trusted advisor and business partner to leaders and employees. Key responsibilities include driving team engagement and retention, employee relations, performance processes, career development, manager coaching and strategic People team projects all while embodying our operating principles and contributing to a diverse and inclusive culture
What You Will Do:
Partner with leaders to understand the business priorities to ensure alignment with People strategy and priorities
Provide coaching and counseling to managers on a variety of topics including organizational design, performance development and complex HR matters, including sensitive employee relations issues
Provide guidance to managers on effective performance management and maintain strong succession planning for key roles; develop retention strategies for high-potential talent
Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and training opportunities and support career development and learning initiatives
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, leading by example, and driving initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale and retention
Collaborate and lead annual processes of key HR programs including performance feedback, talent review, compensation planning and people initiatives and processes
Analyze and interpret trends and metrics; presents results and collaborates in the proactive development of solutions that enhance our organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction through process, programs and/or policy design
Proactively review, on an ongoing basis, all People policies and processes, with a view to improve efficiency, effectiveness and experience
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Resolve employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
Lead and participate in key projects within the business and across the HR function as needed
Partner with Total Rewards, People Operations, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and other cross-functional stakeholders, leaders, and employees to support strategic People priorities
The Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related disciplines
10+ years of progressive experience as a consultative People Business Partner
Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
A demonstrated level of competence in employee relations, coaching, performance management, compensation planning, organizational design, change management, and employment laws
Exceptional interpersonal skills; approachable, tactful, ability to influence others, manage conflict and ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
Experience effectively working in a diverse, dynamic and fast-paced business environment
Exceptional project management and execution capabilities, including inspiring and leading collaboration across teams
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
Strong customer service orientation with a bias towards responsiveness to internal and external clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information with various stakeholders
Preferred Experience:
HRM certification (SPHR)
Proven ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing deadlines
Ability to attract, assess and develop talent
Ability to understand complex issues and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Ability to identify and anticipate client needs and make practical recommendations for implementation
