The Order to Cash (OTC) Value Stream Owner is responsible for oversight of the OTC process within the Magenta Services Center, including driving process improvement and commitment to outcomes and value across the end-to-end OTC value stream. OTC process involves the customer and product setup, order management and fulfillment, billing, collections, cash application and revenue accounting for our consumer and non-consumer device and service. The OTC Value Stream Owner collaborates with other value stream owners and Business Partner Team leaders to ensure the OTC process is integrated with other business processes and systems.

Un-carrier Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the OTC process, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, systems, and controls.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and KPIs for OTC processes to ensure consistent and accurate execution.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the OTC process and enhance efficiency within the value stream, including the implementation of new technologies and process improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with other Business Partner Team leaders and value stream owners to ensure that the OTC process is integrated with other business processes and systems and to develop and maintain strong relationships and drive issue resolution.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of the OTC process, including key performance indicators, risks, and issues.

  • Develop and deliver training and communication materials to ensure that stakeholders within the organization and value streams understand the OTC process and related policies and procedures.

  • Identify and understand risks for VSO scope and design mitigating controls.

  • Manage and lead the OTC value stream team, inclusive of hiring, training, and development.

  • Ensure a common end-to-end process design that is strictly governed by a set of clearly defined controls and advise the Business on the development of standards and business rules for process stewardship.

The Experience You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting, OTC, accounts receivable or related field, with at least 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role, and experience in a shared services environment.

  • Strong knowledge of OTC processes, including customer and product setup, order management and fulfillment, billing, cash application and revenue accounting.

  • Advanced knowledge of OTC process tools and technologies, including order management systems, invoicing systems, and payment processing systems.

  • Experience implementing ERPs such as Oracle and/or SAP.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make sound business decisions.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams and driving performance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in driving process improvement and optimization initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of accounting regulations and standards, including US GAAP and IFRS.

  • Telecom or high-volume transactional experience (i.e., Wal-Mart, FedEx, UPS, etc.) preferred.
