Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a Senior Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience preferred.

Title: Sr. Director/VP, Oracle CX Outbound Product Management CX Unity

Reports to: Vice President, Head of CX Outbound Product Management

The CX Outbound Product Management leader for CX Unity plays a leadership role in overall product strategy, product messaging and got to market activities for Oracle CX Unity, Oracle's new customer intelligence platform. The role takes a leadership role in representing Oracle CX to internal (e.g., product marketing, corporate marketing, event and field marketing, sales, etc.) and external (e.g., analysts, customers/prospects, press, system integrators/partners, etc.) audiences. The candidate will build a strong partnership with Product Development and Outbound Product Management leaders in Oracle Marketing, Sales, Service, Commerce Clouds, as well as Outbound Product Management leaders for related solutions, to ensure a unified CX Cloud message and product strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead CX Unity customer beta and product launch programs that ensure customer success and timely feedback to product development

  • Define core CX Unity positioning and messaging for customers, partners, analysts/influencers, Oracle field and executives

  • Partner with multiple Oracle organizations Partner, Product Marketing, Operations, Product Development, etc. to align on messages, deliverables, go to market

  • Partner with Product Marketing on development and distribution of key CX Unity assets

  • Lead analyst relations for CX Unity, partnering with Analyst Relations and Product Marketing in building key analyst relationships, conducting briefings, etc.

  • Oracle subject matter expert on CDP/competitive space with focus on key competitors

  • Identify and engage key partners that support broader CX Unity ecosystem

  • Develop core Oracle CX messages for Oracle and 3rd party events and customer meetings. Deliver the message for high profile engagements

Requirements for this position include:

  • 10 years progressively increasing product management (outbound) or product marketing responsibility in a cloud enterprise software environment

  • Strong CX/CRM/SaaS cloud application product knowledge and understanding of market-based strategies and competitive landscape

  • Strong understanding of customer experience with expertise in analytics, big data, digital marketing, online advertising/conversion tracking, commerce

  • Exceptional messaging skills in both written/oral/presentation communication skills

  • Ability to articulate Oracle CX products in terms of customer value and impact on their business, employees and customers

  • Ability to build relationships and influence outside of authority

  • Highly organized and self-motivated. High quality of work.

  • Position is based at Oracle Redwood Shores, CA.

Education & Experience: MBA/Business, Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Journalism/English degree or hands on experience in management role in these disciplines.
