Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Director of Network Operations to oversee and manage the daily operations and delivery of our global network infrastructure. This pivotal role involves leading a dynamic team and managing a major third-party service provider relationship to ensure optimal network performance, minimal downtime, and meeting the evolving capacity needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the global network infrastructure, ensuring high reliability and performance.

  • Delivery: Supervise the timely delivery and installation of network services by aligning and prioritizing delivery to business needs.

  • Service Provider Oversight: Efficiently manage the relationship with the third-party service provider, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and service expectations.

  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor network performance, implementing strategies to minimize downtime and optimize capacity.

  • Incident Management: Lead and coordinate rapid response to network incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on business operations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in network operations, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, and efficiency.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal stakeholders to align network operations with business needs and to report on network performance.

  • Budget Management: Oversee the operational budget for network operations, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.

  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity and best practices in network operations.

  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Identify operational gaps and problems and build support for initiatives including cross-functional initiatives that address these important needs.

  • Define the operational vision and strategy that guides tower leads and service provider to continuously improve in efficiencies.

  • Leverage your breadth and depth of knowledge of work outside own function and deep expertise in own functions to deliver superior business value.

  • Collaborate with other leaders within same and other functions to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

  • Responsible for the direct management of the network operations team and service provider including results/outcomes, goal-setting, performance management, coaching.

  • Provide leadership guidance on decisions related to team hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and compensation actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant real-world experience.

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, leadership experience is required.

  • Track record of successfully conceiving, initiating, and driving a long and diverse portfolio of exceptionally challenging initiatives that have significantly impacted BMS at the company level.

  • Strong experience in managing third-party service providers and vendor relationships.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficient in incident management and network performance monitoring.

  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including off-hours when needed.

On-site Protocol

BMS has a diverse occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
