Overall Purpose

The Sr. Director of Paze Merchant Marketing is responsible for orchestrating merchant marketing programs by working with new Paze merchants to drive Paze trial, usage, and loyalty across Merchant channels. The primary responsibility for this role is to build key relationships with Paze merchants to accelerate growth and usage for Paze through comarketing campaigns.

Essential Functions

  • Merchant campaign development: Oversees, develops, and drives the execution of merchant marketing campaigns across the merchant community by selling in Paze value proposition and bank plans to drive incremental sales or new customers to merchants.

  • Partner Management: Establishes and deepens senior level relationships with Paze merchants marketing stakeholders, to identify and implement marketing campaigns across the merchant digital channels.

  • Budget optimization: Advances Merchant marketing strategies by optimizing budget across key merchants and identifying unique value proposition of Paze for key merchants.

  • Agency Management: Works with agency partners to develop campaign plans and optimize media spend and strategies for key merchants.

  • Merchant Marketing Strategy Development: Unlocks merchant priorities and business objectives and develops Paze "pitch decks" to drive Paze value proposition and sell in comarketing campaigns creating a win-win across bank, merchants and Paze.

  • Collaboration: Partners with internal business team stakeholders to design and implement initiatives that increase Merchant sales, drive Paze adoption and deliver incremental value to our merchants.

  • Loyalty: Identifies and implements opportunities to drive higher customer engagement through merchant and banks loyalty programs and consumer incentives.

  • Leadership: Provides effective leadership in developing highly engaged, high-performance teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing design/graphics, communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum 12 years' experience in merchant marketing, merchant management in financial services or related field and at least 5 years' experience managing people.

  • Proven experience in building comarketing programs that drive incremental value and sales in financial services and payments.

  • Strong Executive presence and ability to build key relationships across internal and external parties.

  • Expertise in relationship management, influencing and negotiating marketing outcomes - ability to work across multiple constituents (Paze, Financial institutions, Partners, Agencies) to drive results.

  • Strong leadership skills in driving vision and leading high-performance teams- excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and engage internal & external stakeholders.

  • Excellent attention to detail & verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).

  • Self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  • Proven ability to collaborate, communicate and navigate through multiple disciplines and various seniority levels with internal and external partners.

  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

  • Typically aligns with 15 or more years of related experience.

Physical Requirements

Early Warning works together in a highly collaborative office environment. Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The pay scale for this position in:

New York, NY in USD per year is: $215,000 - $250,000.
