Summary:

The Senior Director Key Account Management is responsible for supporting the relationship, retention, and growth of assigned key accounts. Key accounts assigned are medium level of operating complexity and revenues of $1M or greater.

Job Duties: -

  • Monitoring & supporting assigned key accounts through understanding the scope and contractual terms of each account

  • Develop an annual list of all renewals due in fiscal year and chart renewals dates for each account

  • Support and alert the renewal process with operations and executive team at least 9 months prior to renewal date

  • Create communication protocol for each customer with the goal of increasing share of wallet

  • Participate in weekly updates to executive team on all activities related to assigned key accounts

  • Partner with product marketing to understand additional products to introduce to assigned customers

  • Develop template for and attend select QBR's for assigned customers (select would include share of wallet discussion, renewal discussion, and problem resolution)

  • Build and maintain peer to peer customer relationships for assigned key accounts

  • Lead the development of the solution, RFP response and value proposition for each opportunity with assigned key accounts

  • Travels up to 25%

  • Other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/Logistics or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree in Business Administration preferred

  • Minimum 8 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of Global Supply Chain management

  • Contract Logistics and Transportation Management operations experience a plus

  • Demonstrates professionalism with excellent executive communication skills

  • Ability to negotiate profitable partner relationships in a 3PL environment with Tier 1 customers

  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
