Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Senior Director, Investor Relations, will play a pivotal role in shaping Viridian's overall investor relations strategy and external communication efforts. This role will oversee all activities contributing to the successful execution of Viridian's investor relations strategy. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual to join a high performing investor relations team for a rapidly growing late-stage biotechnology company.
This role is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid in-office schedule. Remote work is allowed, and the frequency is at the discretion of management.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Support the CBO and CEO in the development and execution of a comprehensive investor relations strategy tailored to Viridian's portfolio, stage of development, milestones, and trajectory
Serve as a key point of contact for investors, sell-side analysts, and other members of the investment community, supporting the CBO and CEO in providing timely and accurate information about Viridian's programs, pipeline, and milestones
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, e.g., clinical development, regulatory affairs, program and alliance management, legal, and finance, to develop investor-facing materials that showcase Viridian's strategy, portfolio, progress, and commercial potential
Drive the development of key messages and impactful materials and presentations for investors that are aligned with key messages, e.g., press releases, conference call scripts, slide presentations, and Q&A documents to be used by senior management for investor events including one-on-one meetings, non-deal roadshows, investor conferences, and R&D Days
Assist with strategic targeting analyses and meeting prioritization; analyze and monitor the company's shareholder base and create reports summarizing trends and shifts in shareholders
Lead coordination of investor relations conference calendar and help drive an active IR calendar to support the communication of Viridian's strategy and key milestones to investors
Lead the management and maintenance of the investor relations section of the company website, ensuring that all disclosures, presentations, and company information are accurate
Collaborate within the broader business team (including communications, patient advocacy, and business development) to draft and edit external and internal communications materials
Analyze economic and sector updates, analyst research, investor sentiment, and competitor activity to deliver actionable insights to the executive leadership team
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree with 15+ years of in-house/agency investor relations experience with publicly traded biopharmaceutical companies
Understanding of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry, finance, and capital markets
Knowledge of SEC requirements and Regulation Fair Disclosure; knowledge of ESG disclosures
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion
A proven collaborator who enjoys working across functions and levels
A flexible self-starter who can anticipate needs, maintain composure, and has situational awareness in a dynamic setting
A well-organized multitasker who can prioritize and manage shifting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
A strategic thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills

High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Nasdaq IR Insight

The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience
