Drive sales to meet company objectives by overseeing all aspects of sales, planning, and forecasting. Collaborate with GMM on Strategic initiatives, long term planning and financial analysis. Partner with other leaders to build systems, processes, and efficiencies.

The Senior Director of Planning and Allocation is responsible for developing and implementing planning and allocation strategies that support financial plans, corporate objectives, and strategic vision. Lead Planning team to develop and execute merchandise plans, forecasting, and ensuring product purchases adhere to plan.

Approve all plans for the OTB inventory, sales, and receipts based on company targets. Regularly communicate current position, opportunities, and liabilities to executive team. Lead Allocation team and ensure that we are delivering the right product to the right stores at the right time: communicate with other key members of Buying, Planning, and Allocations to deliver business goals by ensuring the product is available in the DC for distribution.

  • Build Sales and Inventory plans by Brand, Category, and Territory (International).

  • Ensure Planners and Buyers manage to the OTB, and bulks based on planned and actualized sales, and monthly ending inventory targets.

  • Manage seasonal merchandise flow strategies to maximize sales.

  • Develop strong relationships between Planning, Merchandising, and Allocation to ensure great team work.

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to develop processes and systems to support accurate forecasting, replenishment, and allocations.

  • Recruit and develop high-performance Planning and Allocation Team.

  • Coach and counsel the Planning and Allocation team on a regular basis. Conduct annual performance reviews and provide continual feedback on performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • Strategic approach to business. Fact based decision maker.

  • Expert level knowledge of planning process and ability to teach the process

  • Exceptional critical and analytical skills and ability to make qualitative assessments

  • Pro-active in anticipating, trouble shooting, and creative problem solving

  • Constantly push the business by determining new ways to improve processes, analyze data, and forecast future opportunities.

  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both spoken and written.

  • Strong leadership and team building skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective cross-functional relationships and communication

  • Ability to manage workflow within a very dynamic environment

  • Demonstrate accountability and responsibility

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Required travel: 10%-20%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 8+ years of Retail Planning experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of Management experience

  • Advanced computer skills (Excel - pivot table/ v-lookups/etc., Word, Internet)

The pay range for this role is $185,000-$240,000/yr USD
