Senior Global Director, Talent Acquisition

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and versatile Talent Acquisition leader with a passion for connecting talent solutions to business opportunities to maximize results. As the Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition (TA), you will have an opportunity to transform the TA organization at Owens & Minor, significantly enhancing our ability to drive company growth and make each day better for the patients, providers, and communities we serve. You will be a passionate and energetic talent steward; leading efforts to build upon Owens & Minor's existing recruitment foundation - first in the US and then globally as we evolve.

You will be counted on to solve problems and lead through change while proactively anticipating and developing workforce strategies for today and tomorrow. Building strong, credible relationships with leaders across the company and investing in the growth of your team are two critical success factors for this role. This role requires someone who operates with a continuous improvement mindset with a focus on innovation to reimagine the possibilities. You will report to the VP, Global Talent, Learning & Inclusion and be an active member of the Talent leadership team. This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the US.

How You Will Impact:

  • Develop and implement the strategy and operating model for global talent acquisition to position TA as a competitive advantage for Owens & Minor.

  • Identify and monitor key talent attraction metrics to ensure a strong hiring manager and candidate experience and delivery against expected quality & time to fill expectations.

  • Partner with leaders to align workforce strategies to business requirements through a consultative partnership across the organization.

  • Manage and develop a global team of talent acquisition professionals, elevating strategic and sustainable executional capability by establishing and driving consistency within the servicing model, KPI's, coaching and mentoring.

  • Provide consult to business and HR stakeholders on talent acquisition related topics, including marketplace trends, talent availability, emerging staffing trends and sourcing and selection strategies while also ensuring legal compliance and resolution of any recruitment related issues.

  • Ensure that the recruiting function is of the highest-quality, motivated and well-aligned with the vision and goals of the organization, not just for current state, but heavily focused on evaluation and enhancements for future needs.

  • Maximize operational efficiency and customer experience through technology - ensure the processes and output align with expected outcomes.

  • Build a recruitment marketing strategy that positions Owens & Minor as an employer of choice in the markets we serve.

  • Partner with key executives to develop talent and pipeline strategies, and to fill critical executive roles as needed.

Experiences and Skills for Success:

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources Leadership experience, to include at least 2 years of global leadership and problem solving.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or similar discipline.

  • Deep passion for forward-thinking talent acquisition strategies with the ability to roll up sleeves to help execute new ideas across the company's global locations.

  • Demonstrated results in identifying and implementing impactful, enterprise-wide, efficient improvements related to innovative recruitment strategies, operating models, hiring capabilities, process and practice improvements, and talent pools.

  • Experience developing and motivating a global recruiting team, as well as leading through organizational change with proven change management leadership capabilities.

  • Experience developing and implementing strategies encompassing employment branding, innovative sourcing, and diverse pipelining.

  • Owner mentality - successfully reaching across boundaries to solve problems, identify opportunities and drive results.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Exceptional executive presence; focused on consultative business partnering, collaboration and building trusting partnerships for self and others.
