Job Title: Sr. Director, Global Supply Chain Operations

Job Overview:

The Sr. Director of Supply Chain oversees overall supply chain operations, ensures highly efficient and effective work processes, and drives continuous improvement, quality and productivity projects.

This position is responsible for coaching, development, and supervision of the Global Supply Chain and Materials groups, and establishing and improving operational processes and tools. Reports to the Vice President of Operations. Located at Unigen Headquarters in Newark, CA.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1.Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, materials planning from receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product to customer(s): Purchasing and Materials Planning Management, Commodity & Sourcing Management, Inventory Management and Cost Management, Supplier Management;
2.Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure Unigen is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance index (KPI) and minimized supply chain risk;
3.Establish and communicate strategic goals for the supply chain group which align with company goals and initiatives; establish action plans to meet and improve department results; establish annual goals and objectives, in coordination with corporate objectives, and manage performance to ensure attainment
4.Establish and meet key performance indicators (KPI's): Customer On-Time Delivery, Inventory Turns, Inventory Accuracy, Cost Reduction/Purchase Variance;
5.Develop strategies, policies, procedures and overall team to optimize value of the entire function in creating a world class materials management group;
6.Ensure key processes are established, documented, and followed within each functional group;
7.Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement;
8.Optimize inventory utilization and turnover results across the company through programs and initiatives for sourcing, vendor managed inventory, procurement policy and tactics, inventory conversion, and excess inventory disposition;
9.Participate in existing and new product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials to support product build;
10. Manage the Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) function for demand management (sales orders and forecast) to align with customer requirements, material availability, and capacity planning;
11. Drive cost reduction and savings activities through a sourcing strategy and process, regular RFQ, negotiation, and business intelligence solutions;
12. Support new customer engagement with materials quoting and sourcing solutions;

Job Qualifications and


1.Minimum BS/BA degree
2.Minimum 10 years of experience within MRP materials or supply chain organizations.
3.Minimum 5 years of experience in a contract manufacturing environment
4.Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (Oracle R12)
5.Advanced skills in supply chain metrics and reporting. Excel skills: mid-level to advanced

VIEW JOBS 12/31/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-30T00:00 Position Summary The Supply Chain Sr Project Analyst will facilitate and lead the configuration of the supply chain module of the new ERP (Dynamic 365). Effectively coordinate and communicate between individuals, project teams, and external implementor vendor to meet project goals and objectives. Lead cross functional activities and coordinate project teams who are responsible to provide relevant ERP system information to Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Finance. Once the ERP has been successfully implemented the position will support and develop operational processes transitioning to a supply chain management role. Additional responsibilities include independently coordinating calendared meetings, complex onsite/offsite meetings, leading administrative projects, providing management with status/activity reports. Essential Duties/Responsibilities * Responsible for all aspects of project management related to the implementation of Supply Chain Module of Dynamic 365, including, but not limited to: chartering, scoping, requirements gathering, document approval tracking and management, project plan creation, status reporting, issue resolution, project resource allocation, project costs and financial analysis, and benefits validation. * Creates cohesive project programs and plans with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones, and manages the approved plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters. * Drive project execution and closely monitor progress; ensure project milestones are met; actively manage risk mitigation and issue resolution. * Participate in project kickoff meetings, weekly project team meetings and working meetings as needed. Publish meeting notes. * Work with internal teams and vendors to recommend solutions that meet business objectives. * Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of projects. * Prepares reports for upper management regarding project status. * Builds and maintains effective working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. * Supports team members in executing tasks as needed to meet project deliveries * Coordinate meetings, writes minutes, updates budgets, and manage presentations * After ERP is implemented, the role will transition to the following responsibilities: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the brand and product launch projects, which includes but not limited to gathering requirements, defining scope, creating estimates, planning resources, developing schedule, and tracking/reporting progress. * Obtain aggregate launch demand from different channels and consolidate the information to enable planning team to provide initial buy quantity and ongoing supply. * Calculate and track critical Supply Chain Project timelines, for example, warehouse arrival date, PO placement date, and Ship-To-Vendor date etc. * Partner with other departments and groups to improve supply chain efficiency. Education * Bachelor's degree. BA/BS with a concentration in Business, Supply Chain or related areas preferred or equivalent experience.
