Reporting to the VP, Global Value & Access, the Sr. Director, Global Market Access Strategy will be responsible for all of Kiniksa's promising pipeline programs as well as global expansion initiatives. They will work closely with our Program Management Team, Brand Team, Medical Affairs, US Market Access Team, and other cross-functional partners to build a best-in-class process for maximizing Patient Access and Values for all Kiniksa's pipeline programs globally.
This role is based in our Lexington office. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office, and 1 day remote.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Work with clinical and program management to ensure optimization of our clinical trial design and endpoint for a future payer audience in order to achieve target pricing levels
Optimize the value of the pipeline programs and create necessary market access tools for global payer negotiations and optimal pricing/reimbursement coverage
Lead global market access launch planning and preparation process including pricing strategy, market access strategies, distribution strategies, etc.
Develop and manage global pricing strategies and maintain narrow global pricing corridors to optimize the global values of Kiniksa's assets
Conduct payer research, when needed, and provide insights back to organization
Develop HEOR and real-world evidence to substantiate the values of Kiniksa's pipeline programs throughout their life cycles
Qualifications:
10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years experiences in leading market access strategy development in phase II/III
M.S. or M.A. degree required
Advanced degree preferred
In-depth payer knowledge and experience in US and ex-US environment
Extensive knowledge of laws and regulations that govern contracting and pricing for pharmaceutical products globally and locally
Expert level experience in leading HEOR and RWE initiatives to substantiate value propositions
Specialty drug launch experience as Pricing and Market Access lead, ideally in orphan disease spaces preferred
Excellent analytical skills and solid understanding of major market reimbursement systems, current health policy topics and working knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefit dollar flows
Deep understanding and compliance with the OIG and FDA regulations governing pharmaceutical marketing and the PhRMA code
Excellent communications skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization; possess a persuasive and credible presentation style
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement
Efficient independent worker with ability to focus and drive for results
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and to handle multiple tasks
Strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
Salary is commensurate with experience
