Your Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for executing Invest to Win (Marketing Capabilities) in the US and overseeing the implementation and execution of training programs across all US Pharma business units.

You will lead a team of directors and managers, working in partnership with other Sales and Marketing Excellence (SMEx) Directors, Global, Sales VPs and Marketing VPs to ensure that SMEx delivers aligned, consistent and cutting edge training programs using the latest technology that can be implemented and measured for impact across the US Pharma. You will be responsible for researching, vetting and selecting technology partners for USP for the purposes of supporting our training efforts. Additional responsibilities include overseeing of training programs for all GSK new hires (foundations training) to ensure that GSK sales representatives and managers are best in the industry. This role will also serve in an Ops capacity to oversees SMEX wide projects and operations.

Your specific responsibilities for this role include the following:

  • Oversees and manages the execution of all enterprise wide programs including but not limited to SK Knowledge acquisition, Foundations, Account management, Peer Educators, Marketing Excellence.

  • Strategic partner with the global platform teams and senior level commercial leadership of US Pharma (Marketing VPs and Sales VPs and frequent interaction with CLT)

  • Leads the strategy development for US Pharma SMEx that is aligned with Global Marketing and Selling Effectiveness Programs including selling, marketing excellence & coaching excellence by ensuring that all programming is customized appropriately for USP and can be measured for impact.

  • Leads, executes and oversees the implementation of all STEM Audits engagement for US Pharma(STEM audits gauge the effectiveness of GSK sales professionals)

  • Build the long-term vision for learning & development (L&D) in USP in close partnership and collaboration with OC&L and the Global Marketing and Selling Excellence teams; support the therapeutic area implementation of the vision

  • Evaluate and prioritize key strategic levers in the L&D space to ensure a strong focus on customer-centric learning solutions for USP

  • Recognize and plan accordingly to emerging opportunities in the advancement of technology-enabled learning solutions

  • Embed the use of leading and lagging metrics and analytics to support the measurement and the impact of learning solutions and to build best practice across SMEx.

  • Ensures the digital capability upskilling for USP is aligned with Global

  • Ensure that all current and future SMEX programs have defined and predetermined measures to assess their impact and effectiveness

  • Assesses external landscape and other industries to ensure that GSK's SMEX curriculum and use of technology is best in class

  • Lead a team of Business Partner Directors and Managers including management of succession planning, development plans, & recruiting for open roles

Why You?Basic qualifications:

Bachelor level degree
10 years commercial experience in sales and/or marketing roles with demonstrated success in-market

Leadership experience

Preferred qualifications:

Master's Degree in Learning and Education, Organizational Development or Leadership, Business Administration

(if BA/BS only) 8-10 years sales and/or marketing experience (3 years in healthcare), background in learning, development & training. Demonstrated leadership and breadth of commercial experience.

(if advanced degree) 5-8 years sales and/or marketing experience (3 years in healthcare) . Demonstrated leadership and breadth of commercial experience. Experience in developing programs, with measures that drive the upskilling of digitally driven technology

Previous experience as a leader in Marketing (Brand, Customer, Mktg execution Director-level), Payer or Field Sales (Account Director, Sales Director, FVP), in the US business helpful to ensuring practicality and relevance of strategy/curriculum.

Strong leadership experience, including matrix leadership and/or First Line Leader roles. Demonstrated capability/ability to act with courage, foster teamwork, and build a speak-up culture that celebrates & fosters inclusion and diversity.

Strong project management skills.

Experience in leading change initiatives, employee development, and/or instructional design/adult learning. Strong influence and team culture development skills
