What We Do

This senior technology role will be instrumental in leading Business Technology Solutions (Corporate IT) as a business-oriented organization. This position will oversee the corporate technology functions of Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Integration platforms. This position will play a key role on the Business Technology Solutions leadership team in shaping and driving the development and execution of our organization's business technology strategy.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Partner with the CIO and business technology leadership team, providing broad insight to IT domains and capabilities in support of enterprise-wide business decisions.

  • Deliver Enterprise Architecture consultative services across multiple business units working closely with product teams and Information Security leaders.

  • Mature and scale the Planview Enterprise Architecture platform within BTS and across the business divisions. Enhance architectural governance, strategy mapping and alignment, business and technology architecture, enterprise resiliency, information and systems mapping and application portfolio optimization.

  • Advance the technology governance board/processes to include technology product evaluations, alignment to standards, and technology blueprint reviews that fit the needs of the business with a streamlined approach.

  • Partner across divisions and functional units to reduce overall architectural complexity of our technical environments, reducing risk, and focus on improving customer value.

  • Lead the future of Enterprise Integration at First American by collaborating with our business partners to expand our offerings into a managed choices portfolio, and a developer portal and API Catalog delivering an outstanding developer experience across the enterprise.

  • Collaborate with business partners to accelerate adoption of the Azure OpenAI platform for greater business value.

  • Partner with CIO, CTO and other business leaders to increase the use of Generative AI technologies for innovative and measurable outcomes.

  • Supervisory responsibility for multiple functions, managing through more than one layer of management. Delegates tasks, manages workflow, and plans staffing requirements and salary administration. Interviews candidates and makes hiring decisions, writes and conducts performance reviews, supplies ongoing feedback, and manages disciplinary actions. Coaches and mentors staff; provides development opportunities. Ensures that teams and individuals understand roles and responsibilities via clear communication of goals and objectives. Meets with individual team members on performance measurements, goals, and evaluations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology, Advanced degree preferred.

  • 15+ years proven experience managing complex cross functional units or groups.

  • Minimum 10+ years leading technical teams with at least 5+ years' experience working as an architect and/or an engineer.

  • Experience with value stream mapping and business capability modeling.

  • Experience with Cloud and related technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).

  • Experience with integration architecture and best practices.

  • Experience with Microsoft applications and enterprise integration platforms (Mulesoft, Tibco, Opentext).

  • A product mindset for automated, turnkey software solutions, enabling greater autonomy for application development teams.

  • Background in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and Planview Enterprise Architecture platform.

  • Proven strategic thought leadership and demonstrated experience driving innovation and change.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

  • Demonstrated competency in creating and executing strategic plans.

  • Proven track record of leading large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and driving organizational change.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating and delivering compelling presentations to executive audiences inside and outside the company.

  • Strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills in a highly matrixed organization.

  • A deep understanding of metrics/dashboards that drive an environment and culture of continuous improvement.

  • Progressive experience in leading employees in multiple locations, and experience developing and implementing solutions.

  • Possesses strong problem solving, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills.

  • Results oriented with strong time management and project management skills and must be highly organized and driven to succeed.

  • Strong leadership skills, leading by example, driving employee commitment through actions, and empowering employees to reach their full potential.

Pay Range: $140,360 - $290,400 Annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
