Reporting directly to the Head of Global Product Management, the visibility is off the charts for this role as the leader for our Data Platform portfolio.

The Role

Data-obsessed product management leaders need apply, please. This individual will head up our Data Platform product management team including hiring, mentoring and coordinating the work of the team members. You will also be responsible for ensuring that these products deliver tangible customer value and align internal stakeholder groups including sales/solutions engineers, customer success, engineering, and support.

You will need to deliver business outcomes, usability, 'fit for purpose' and market success delivery of the product and features falls. You will be a key decision maker in priorities, strategies, and design decisions throughout the lifecycle.

The Products

When information about your hardware and software assets is inconsistent, incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated, efficiency and performance suffer. A lack of data leads to uninformed decisions. Flexera's data intelligence library, Technopedia, is the most trusted hardware/software asset management source in the world. It inventories over 3.5 million products with 250+ million data points that provide relevant product and market intel to fuel the best IT management decision-making.

Our products enable our customers to:

  • Understand your obsolescence challenges

  • Rationalize application sprawl

  • Increase transparency of IT organizational assets

  • Share the same IT asset information across systems, workflows, reports and stakeholders

  • Reduce regulatory compliance risk associated with IT asset data

  • Respond faster to auditswith efficiency

  • Identify security risk of your software assets

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving portfolio-level strategy, cross-product priorities, success metrics, and go-to-market plans

  • Lead or oversee customer research and market feedback on features/pricing/competition

  • Coach team through an engaged and active agile process with their development/design teams

  • Work with executives to set and review product plans, acquire teams/resources and develop a shared view of requirements, business value and priorities

  • Work with peer leaders (especially engineering, design and marketing) to build cross-functional trust and collaboration

  • Works with architects and UX to understand technology and user trends

  • Use KPIs, win-loss analysis and sales effectiveness to inform decisions

  • Lead all go to market activities (pricing, packaging, channel and sales enablement) and work with marketing to build and deliver content

  • Works with the Product Managers on the team to understand competitive landscape and apply competitive factors to the priorities and order of attack

  • Establish processes for direct customer/user input, cross-product initiatives and prioritization, hiring/mentoring product managers, and increasing visibility of roadmaps

Qualifications

The right candidate will have already led a product management team, and have substantial experience as a B2B/enterprise product manager:

  • Experience supervising product managers (at least 3 direct reports) on revenue software for enterprises; experience managing UX/designers is a big plus

  • Defining and designing a product management team: hiring, coaching, role definitions, assignments/division of labor

  • Experience building strategies, goals/metrics, priorities and roadmaps for a data platform/intelligence product set

  • Ownership of a B2B/enterprise product through several releases.

  • Demonstrable knowledge around agile development processes, enterprise release cycles, UX/design, and go-to-market for new products

  • Product knowledge around B2B software data management, "big enterprise" applications such as ERP, software configuration, network security, and application performance management is a very big plus

Impact Our growth strategy heavily depends on organic growth. Our enterprise reps, alliances, services and channel managers must continue to drive and close new deals and expand our existing customer base through direct and indirect strategies. Our technical integration partnerships are critical to help fuel this organic growth as well and that this role owns that initiative globally from a product perspective. The Role This individual will manage a small team whose sole responsibility is our presence in the larger ecosystem where Flexera complements other markets to serve the emerging needs of our customers. This leader nurtures strong business and technical relationships with IBM, Oracle, Microsoft and SAP and identifies and creates new relationships with additional vendors in IT Financial Management and IT Service Management. The art of the possible is a key responsibility for this leader and the results of these relationships are proven integrations that solve today's customer problems and tomorrow's emerging use cases. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Drive adoption of Flexera's platform among partners who offer complementary product sets * Own the strategy and growth of our B2B partner ecosystem which must include facilitating product and platform collaboration between partners and internal teams * Understand and communicate market opportunities, trends, needs and partner feedback to cross-functional teams * Develop an undeniable value proposition with current and prospective partners to position Flexera as the first-choice company to partner with * Define partnerships strategies and execute on go-to-market plans Qualifications: * 5+ years of successful experience building software development partnerships * 8+ years overall work experience * Experience with B2B enterprise software (on prem, SaaS, Cloud) * Passion for the solutions we provide for our customers * Trend-setter vs trend-follower * Documented track record of sourcing, developing, and maintaining partner relationships * Aptitude to understand complex IT software and the technical feasibility of partner integrations * Creative mindedness that has translated to new and prosperous partnerships that align with our strategic direction * The ability to influence executive leadership both internally and within our partner ecosystem * Extensive experience operating within a complex matrix (product management, customer success, legal, finance, marketing, sales) Flexera is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
