Our Team

The Senior Director of Product Marketing will be part of the Corporate Marketing team. We are responsible for determining how to reach our desired customers and what messaging will appeal to them. Our job is to manage Catalina's messages and outward appearances!

Responsibilities

The Sr. Director, Corporate Events & Industry may sit onsite in our St. Petersburg, Chicago, or Atlanta offices. He/she will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a strategic plan for Catalina's corporate-wide projects and events, external (industry) and internal. This position is responsible for working with senior level executives in planning their strategic events for each year. Includes identifying leading industry influencer events for Catalina existing and prospective clients, planning, coordinating and executing special events, meetings, conferences and other special projects. This includes, developing an industry calendar, coordinating overall event management that is not limited to: event identification, site selection, hotel contract negotiations, vendor service agreements, entertainment, premium management, event communications and scheduling, overall logistics, budget monitoring and post-event reporting.

  • Lead to ensure flawless delivery of Catalina's meetings & events from event conception to planning/on-site execution to post-event analysis and wrap-up

  • Able to build effective relationships within the organization and to understand and interpret the strategic goals and collaboration with internal stake holders to ensure their priorities are understood to deliver high-quality events, distinguishing Catalina within the industry

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Data/Analytics to support their event objectives and propose recommendations for all event elements to relevant stakeholders

  • Identify industry event and organizational opportunities that showcase Catalina differentiation

  • work as a bridge between organizations and Catalina leaders
  • Plan, budget, coordinate and execute Catalina internal and external strategic projects including:

  • Internal:

  • President's Club (Sales Incentive Trip)

  • National Sales Meetings

  • All-employee Meetings

  • Board of Director Meetings

  • Annual Investor-Analyst Conference

  • External/Industry:

  • FMI Executive Conference

  • NACDS (National Assoc of Chain Drug Stores)

  • CHPA (Consumer Healthcare Products Assoc)

  • Expo West & East

  • Advertising/Promo trade events tbd (e.g. ANA, AARF)

  • Digital Advertising

  • CMO Events (CMO Club, CMO Council, Cannes Lions)

  • Assess business needs and communicate recommendations to management, including budget/funding proposals, speaking opportunities, deep partnership opportunities

  • Act as main point of coordination and contact and serve as concierge to visiting VIPs and clients. May include, but will not be limited to travel needs, selection and planning of dinners, off-site activities, entertainment, premiums/amenities, etc.

  • Overall responsibility for CSL management, including CSL scheduling, staffing, collateral, inventory, product display and related client events

  • Other special corporate events or meeting related projects as assigned

  • Leverage and maximize resources, including cross-business segment project/event budgets

  • Coordinate vendors to procure supplies

  • Keep management and other key personnel appraised as to the progress of all events projects

  • Assist in managing Corporate Communications relative to trade show, meetings and event support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or marketing or equivalent industry experience; Master's preferred

  • At least twelve (12) years progressive experience in industry relations, special events, trade show management, corporate communications, public relations, branding, and/or marketing

  • At least seven (7) years experience with corporate engagement

  • Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods industry and/or Catalina's customer market

  • Must work effectively cross-functionally and with senior management

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals, including strong consulting and presentation skills

  • Exceptional project management skills, including managing multiple tasks and priorities

  • Strong organizational skills, including follow-up

  • Possesses an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-3-year timeframe

  • Ability to design creative, experiential events with a sophisticated aesthetic

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office software, including strong proficiency in PowerPoint

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage internal department budgets as well as partner-department project budgets (i.e., President's Club, National Sales Meeting, etc.)

  • Ability to balance interest and needs of multiple parties

A Day in the Life: The Senior Corporate Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager. Responsible for assisting in the preparation and consolidation of Financial Statements, process improvements and efficiency projects, assist with month, quarter, and year-end close process and Financial Reporting. The Senior Accountant will perform ad hoc reporting for executive management, as well as assist with internal and external audits. Develop, implement and improve accounting processes and procedures for dynamic lines of business.
