The Position:
In this role, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance and providing strategic guidance to our commercial organization. Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and a high performing finance and sales operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing in-depth commercial analysis to senior management and the executive team.
Serve as a strategic partner to Chief Commercial Officer
Lead and manage a team of finance and sales operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the commercial organization in achieving its sales and revenue targets
Develop and implement financial strategies and plans in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives
Lead and oversee strategic and annual operating plans, quarterly and monthly forecast updates, predictive analytics, internal reporting, and performance management against projections
Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance
Monitor and assess market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform financial strategies
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales leaders, executives, and external partners
Contribute to the development and implementation of new business initiatives and projects
Lead the Sales Ops team to ensure comprehensive planning for systems changes and associated readiness of commission plan evolution
Conduct thorough and detailed analysis to produce data-driven recommendations to enable leadership decisions
Drive projects and business plan modeling from inception to completion, ensuring all workstream deliverables are completed on time, on budget, and with quality
Responsible for the strategy, systems, analytics, and processes of the sales ops organization
Development, implement, and continuously improve processes and systems
Lead the development and monitoring of key operational metrics to drive financial performance
Function as a thought leader by providing analytical insight and perspective to senior management
Proactively assess new business opportunities and their impact to the financial and business goals of the company
Provide leadership to the FP&A team, constantly raising the bar of expectation and develop a world class organization, establish global best practices, and instill a culture that emphasizes accountability, integrity, and transparency
Qualifications:
10+ years of industry related experience and 7+ years of experience in a leadership role
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, MBA Preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to project manage and facilitate group meetings
Preferred system experience with NetSuite, NSPB, Xactly, Salesforce and Workday
Experience in process improvement methodologies
Experience in healthcare and/or life science industry (preferred)
The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

$196,000—$270,000 USD
