Chief of Staff
Credit Review Risk
Serve as the Chief of Staff for the Credit Review team. Capital One's Credit Review group has responsibility for providing review and assurance to the Board, Regulators, and External Auditors and other key stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of credit business practices, credit controls and asset quality.

Drive Management Routines:
Drives the transformation of our workflow, policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements and standards
Develop and iterate management practices (SLT and Organization) to enable transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of our organization
Play point on prep for high stakes meetings Board materials, Regulators, management meetings (CPC, DCC, etc) etc by working with the team to build the right messages (including trends amongst our findings) and manage deckbuilding
Create, in collaboration with the full SLT, and maintain systems of management like (e.g., MBR, business reviews, and focused dives on critical areas)
Partner with HRC and Finance on headcount justification and overall budget
Develop and execute on the department Communications Strategy activities
Coordinate with colleagues on workspace management and planning matters and manage holistic WPS planning across the footprint
Serve as "go to" person for information and historical materials
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Coordinate regular reviews of key metrics and initiatives- hone in on the strategic, operational and organizational areas of leverage
Lead the department through significant mandate changes, including being point person for management of external consultants
Drive collaboration across Consumer, Commercial and IDM teams by developing thematic issues and enable propagation of best practices across teams
Consolidate and optimize the reporting process across issues, MRA validations, observations etc.
Special projects multiple projects based on highest needs for the team
Help to Develop our Strategy:
Shepherd Strategic Planning planning cycle (quarterly/annual)
Strategize and collaborate with innovation team to establish future data needs of the organization to drive efficiency
Own the organization's risk management strategies; such as controls, self-assessments, self-identified issues, business continuity and operational risks
Tackle high leverage but undefined business problems that don't neatly fit anywhere and/or need to be shaped and taken from zero to one. Projects to be identified and agreed upon in collaboration with the full LT
Be an extension of SVP, Credit Review:
Engage as extension of the executive they support with the organization's customers and partners including Finance, HR, IT
Be eyes and ears for SLT
Stay in touch with the on-the-ground business and develop relationships within direct and extended team in order to be an informed and helpful sounding board and thought partner
Develop relationships & dedicate time to meet with other Risk LT members Chief of Staffs
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience leading people and working with internal business partners
At least 3 years of experience presenting in front of senior leadership teams
At least 8 years of experience implementing change within a large organization
At least 5 years of experience leading process & controls initiatives
At least 3 years of experience in Credit
