Position Overview: The Cloud & Data Center business unit is looking for a Sr. Director, Advanced Products & System Design based in Austin (TX), to lead our system and IC design activities related to our advanced and highly differentiated products targeting the data center market.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IC design, system design, and verification of our advanced products, drive innovation in our solutions, architectures, and methodologies.

  • Inspire and drive a high bar for cost/performance, robustness, and quality.

  • Operate as a Design & System expert, review the latest technologies and recommend adoption, drive continual improvements within team through effective change management.

  • Develop critical IPs to allow us to advance and scale efficiently, collaborate with other design leaders to leverage talent and resources effectively across our product portfolios.

  • Contribute to product strategy, definition, roadmap, and planning in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Lead interactions with key stakeholders to successfully align products and architectures to customer requirements and business strategy.

  • Ensure products and architectures meet the technical requirements, cost targets, and critical milestones identified during the definition phase.

  • Lead communication with cross-disciplinary teams through all stages of design and development.

  • Collaborate with BU Finance and the rest of the leadership team to develop and manage the annual budget.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, experimentation, learning, and customer focus.

  • Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring for every direct report.

  • Ensure all team members identify the relationship between the Company strategy and their contributions.

  • Partner with every direct report on their career goals and aspirations and serve as a guide/coach in helping them thrive in their career.

  • Embody ADI culture and values

Qualifications:

  • BSEE (or equivalent) + 15 years of experience, or MSEE (or equivalent) + 12 years of experience working in the power semiconductor industry.

  • 5+ years people management experience.

  • 6+ years' experience shipping power semiconductor products

  • Experience in products for Cloud & Data Center market, in-depth knowledge of requirements, market & technology trends is preferred.

  • Results-oriented and able to deliver on-time under tight schedule pressure.

  • Cross cultural awareness and ability to communicate/collaborate effectively in a global environment.

  • Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State
