The Sr. Director of Advanced Advertising Product Management is responsible for leading the development of word class online marketing solutions on behalf of thousands of Spectrum Reach clients. This senior leader will play a pivotal role in defining strategy, product definition, business models, supply strategy, vendor / technology evaluation, cross-platform execution, revenue growth and lead an online product management team. The successful candidate will collaborate with sales and clients to manage the roadmap and product lifecycle across multiple disciplines. Product portfolio under management well exceeds $50M+ with ample opportunity for growth.
This exceptional leader will have hands on experience with: video, programmatic media buying, targeting / addressable capabilities, supply quality tools, media mix modeling, device graphing, data-driven creative, social, native, possesses technical skills, deep knowledge of IAB/TAG standards, application of 1st/2nd and 3rd party data as well as having the ability to connect the dots to shift from single point products to solutions.
The Sr. Director of Advanced Advertising Product Management will encourage a culture based on teamwork, cross functional collaboration and unbridled intellectual curiosity to evaluate new products, refresh existing capabilities and manage a growing online product portfolio.
Build best in class cross-platform online products inclusive of: video, mobile (web/app), social and native across key verticals with internal and external partners at scale
Forward thinker in translating sales needs into strategic and compelling business opportunities by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
Translate business strategy into a portfolio product roadmap, articulates trade-offs and business cases for new features through data-driven prioritization and business needs; set minimal viable product releases.
Based on campaign needs, recommend appropriate enterprise campaign parameters, margin thresholds, proactively solve issues and act as a single point of contact / subject matter expert across the online portfolio
Motivates, leads, influences and manages direct and indirect teams, works collaboratively to drive programs that meet our clients' business objectives
Attends client meetings on ongoing basis, interfacing as needed with executive and middle management on client side during meetings and presentations
Informs senior management on key opportunities, potential risks, and potential partnerships
Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders on proper testing, integration, activation and continuity support
Thinks about marketing outcomes, is customer focused and applies heightened levels of service across all stakeholder
Experience trading, acquiring, selling or overseeing digital supply / media is a must
10+ years' experience at a combination of: DSP, DMP, SSP, MVPD, media, direct marketing agency, data company, media agency, strategy consulting or similar company within the digital media ecosystem with a focus on product management or product design experience with deep focus on video
Deep knowledge of the advanced advertising eco-system including local media
Understanding of the MVPD media sales channels (local, regional and national), cable programmers, content providers, , evolving ecosystem models, outcome-based marketing and supporting tools
Applicable experience with direct marketing techniques, methodologies, list matching, data fusion as well as synthesis of campaign performance
Experience with key categories such as automotive, health, retail, tune-in and political
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and responsibilities concurrently; consistently set, meet and exceed deadlines
Ability to form strong relationships with internal teams, vendors and clients
Proven history of managing multiple product efforts and significant experience leading product roadmaps, prioritizing and identifying opportunities for backlog, collaborating with development teams for ongoing enhancements
Ability to negotiate complex contracts to support emerging business models
Capacity to work independently and own responsibilities for projects immediately
Professional, outgoing (partners well with all), confident with sound presentation skills
Work in NYC headquarters and may travel 1/3 of the time as needed
BA/BS degree (MBA preferred)
