As the Senior Director of Creative & Strategy for Microsoft Physical Stores, you will bring our mission of helping people achieve more to life through creative execution and storytelling across stores.
This role is a senior leader on our Marketing & Experiences team combining expertise in development of creative campaigns with integrated marketing and planning. Your team drives the strategy and look and feel of the Microsoft stores and you play a key part in defining the story experienced by every customer. Microsoft Store has transformed into an experiential destination rewarding consumers, businesses, gamers and educators the best in their ownership experience for Microsoft devices and services. We build fans every day and represent the face of Microsoft to our local communities.
This person will oversee several disciplines. Creative design for both physical and digital executions as in large scale signage, expansive LED and LCD Video Walls as well as retail fixture and store design. Integrated marketing bringing a 360 view of the customer and relationship marketing defining the vehicles and levers used to drive traffic, generate sales, increase usage and build brand loyalty. Insights and data driven decision making is critical to our growth and successfully working collaboratively across peer organizations to drive experimentation and learnings. Partnerships that expand and extend the business are key to our strategy. As an enthusiastic recruiter, you will bring talent to the organization through agency partnerships, vendor consultants and fulltime employees.
The ideal candidate is energetic, with superior people management skills and confidence in managing and partnering with multiple stakeholders. Proven abilities translating business goals and brand strategy into store creative through experiences that are meaningful, exciting and effective. Candidates with previous creative marketing, agency and media experience within retail or experiential marketing preferred. This role requires embracing ever changing product strategies and will require comfort with rapid changing design demands and tight schedules. Engaging directly with our field and our customers is required of all roles on our team to build empathy for the end consumer and our field employees.
Key skills & experience:
Minimum 10 years of multi discipline Creative Marketing experience (campaign planning, advertising, events, PR, visual merchandising, social) in consumer or technology preferred
Proven track record of successful people management and effectively assigning priorities and managing workloads.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing preferred. Understanding for graphic design and motion design a plus.
Forward-thinking digitally savvy individual who has a passion for video wall creative, and digital signage.
Confident presenter to all levels of an organization including senior leadership.
Project management experience and a strong ability to set priorities, establish process or drive improvements on existing methods

Manage marketing budgets and assist in identifying cost recovery opportunities through key partnerships.
Engage with PR and social teams to evolve the PR and social strategy and be a key channel to drive awareness and engagement of key activities
Lead creative agency relationships to ensure quality executions and agility to respond to changing business needs
Show compelling results driven creative for a broad range of media/experiences for consumer and business audiences. Communicating ideas effectively and collaborating well with others.
Development of work backs, process and procedures to enable seamless and coordinated execution of marketing campaigns (Omni-channel for key campaigns)
Forward thinking to multi-task and manage current executions, while planning 3-6 months out for future campaigns and experiences
Ensure brand communications align with corporate brand strategy, brand voice and guidelines
