The Center for Clinical Data Science (CCDS) aims to transform healthcare through cutting-edge data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who understands how to provision, automate, and control architecture with code. You have a strong understanding of systems knowledge across the stack: Linux systems, networking, application design, and what's necessary to take an application into production.
The ideal candidate will be a DevOps Engineer who is driven by building products that matter, with experience doing it successfully in the past, both independently as well as part of a competitive team. S/he will have demonstrated the ability to find solutions where others couldn't, with the drive, energy and determination to pull the team forward and not quit until the impossible is possible. We're looking for self-starters with a strong sense of urgency, comfortable working independently and sourcing input where required, and with a tolerance for operating in a fast-paced early stage environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
We are in the process of migrating from a bare metal environment to a hybrid Kubernetes environment on-prem and in the cloud. You will work to build out our Kubernetes cluster and automate software deployments.
You will write tools to manage our distributed ML training cluster and application hosting.
You will perform deep dives into reliability issues and service performance.
You will develop new software-based solutions to engineering problems.

5 years' experience with infrastructure as code
Experience with Kubernetes or other containerization software
Experience with service discovery, service meshes, and microservices
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Experience deploying and managing systems in production
Practical knowledge of Python or similar scripting language
