Primary Duties:

  • Advises implementation team in analyzing and defining requirements, defining development coding standards, and designing application architecture to meet clients' needs

  • Ensures that the application solutions developed satisfy the business and technical requirements and standard testing procedures have been followed

  • Assists in enhancing existing business processes, creating new ones, and managing the promotion through the SDLC

  • Develops, debugs, tests and deploys new applications

  • Modifies, debugs and tests existing applications

  • Documents system components

  • Interfaces with internal and external technical staff to define application solutions and resolve problems as needed

  • Communicates with product owner to resolve issues or questions as needed

  • Collaborates with business and technical experts to ensure solutions align with and support the company's strategic plan

  • Other duties as required and assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university

  • Minimum 5 years of web application development experience and/or training (JEE, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML)); Minimum 4 years experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL

  • Minimum 3 years experience with JavaScript, jQuery and Ajax

  • Experience with Dependency Injection (Gu)ice or Spring

  • Knowledge of standard Java Libraries (Log4j, slf4j, apache commons, Google collections)

  • Experience with Google Web Toolkit

  • Experience with unit testing (JUnit or EasyMock)

  • Knowledge of 3rd party logistics, transportation systems, and/or warehouse management is preferred

  • Knowledge of leading industry technologies with a strong knowledge around IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/alternatives available in a multi-platform environment

It's hard to pinpoint a "typical" day here (and who wants typical anyway?), but in summary you will deliver high quality reporting applications and outputs designed to meet the needs of both our clients and organizational stakeholders. You will be focused on developing and supporting web-based reporting applications based on an in-depth knowledge of user requirements and operational objectives. What You'll Do for Us * Develop cross-browser compatible websites * Build and maintain existing websites including adding new features and content editing * Build and maintain web apps used both internally and by clients * Stay informed on industry trends, web development techniques and advancements in the areas of development, UX and responsive frameworks * Generate and maintain complex reports supporting business and client data needs * Troubleshoot data related issues and track them through to resolution * Work collaboratively with business users and clients to resolve data quality issues * Provide technical subject matter expertise on database design and development projects * Pro-actively monitor the performance of Business Intelligence databases and processes * Develop and monitor performance tuning of database schemas, stored procedures, etc. * Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of data management systems, processes, and standards * Serve as a mentor to other developers on the team Requirements: * Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of reporting or web development experience in enterprise level environments * Minimum of 4 years experience with two or more of the following: ASP.Net, Windows Forms, VB or C# * Minimum of 4 years experience with HTML, CSS, and VB.NET * Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server database development experience including: stored procedures, query optimization, and basic database design (3 years minimum) * Experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity, performance, blocking/deadlocking, connectivity, and data replication issues * Knowledge of indexes and management of index statistics & fragmentation * Experience collaborating on database design and performance tuning * Experience managing and deploying SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS changes in production environments with limited supervision * Experience diagnosing, isolating, and implementing strategies to resolve data quality opportunities in a team setting * Comfortable working with large, cross-functional groups of stakeholders * Experience analyzing requirements, deriving work estimates, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with RESTfull APIs * Experience with JSON, Javascript * Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) or higher preferred * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field * Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems * Experience with the healthcare industry * Knowledge of medical and/or pharmacy relational data What We'll Do for You: At Premise Health, you're not an employee – you're a team member.
