Will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and management of databases. Will work with stakeholders to develop data models, provide model and flow diagrams, and document processes.
Will write code for database access, data model migrations, and database logic including stored procedures. Will develop and formulate standards, procedures, and conventions for database use. Will work with software engineers and system administrators to ensure database security. May direct and lead others.
8 - 10 years of experience in database administration and development, primarily in Oracle but also fluency in PostgreSQL with a strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, principles and security. Oracle experience should include:
RMAN, partitioning, parallel query, performance tuning, Enterprise Manager and development in SQL, PL/SQL and APEX. Working knowledge of Linux Operating System and familiarity with Engineered Systems (Oracle Database Appliance) is desirable. Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and processes is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility.
BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline, or equivalent.
