Who we're looking for:
A multifaceted Senior Data Scientist to be a key player on the analytics team. You will fulfill a dual role building advance predictive models, economic models and data visualization dashboards for clients along with delivering innovative analytic products. You will use advanced analytics methods along with your technology experience to develop new approaches to complex business problems. Partnering directly with the account teams and clients, you will understand the business needs and develop effective solutions. You will be a key player in the design and migration of our analytic envirnoment acting as a liaison to IT, being able to comprehend and communicate the complexities of new Big Data technology as well as analytics.
What you'll get to do:
Design, develop and maintain predictive models in a variety of analytic tools (R, Python, SAS, SQL) in support of marketing client goals and the development of our proprietary tools
Monitor and provide feedback on model performance
Recalibrate models as necessary
Research new techniques to help solve client needs
Develop client economic models that provide financial motivation for loyalty program design
Work with IT to design and implement a new analytic envirnoment, analytic data lake and build out new analytic tools in support of key initiatives
Provide analytical support required by clients, such as data visualization and ad-hoc analysis, to track impact and increase the effectiveness of clients' programs
Explore large data sources, determine appropriate data, discover issues, identify potential uses, and prepare data for analytical purposes
Generate data derived targeting strategies or customer acquisition and retention
Communicate technical solution in non-technical terms
Adapt to the changing environment of our business, re-prioritize effectively, and integrate new techniques and tools into your everyday work
Create simple but compelling stories for clients
What you'll need to succeed:
5+ years of experience in analytics with extensive knowledge in advance modeling and segmentation techniques, specifically with fraud and real-time model experience
5+ years of experience in programming languages, R, Python, SAS, SQL, and Spark for large scale data and predictive analysis
2+ years of analytics experience in a Big Data environment, such as Hadoop, Azure, ElasticSearch and/or AWS
Ability to listen and translate requirements back and forth between cross-functional teams and ability to communicate technical solutions to other analytic team members, IT and clients.
Ability to adapt to the changing environment of our business and the marketplace in general, re-prioritize effectively, and integrate new techniques and tools into your everyday work
Masters in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science (or related fields) preferred
