Very strong cloud analytics development skills are vital to Logic 20/20's success. In order to continue and accelerate our growth, we are looking for Big Data Developers to add to our Seattle, Washington-based team. Big Data Developers are responsible for delivering client value and ensuring high client satisfaction. They are expected to be adept at recognizing, subscribing, and applying best practices, methodology, tools, and techniques to meet client requirements, timelines, and budgets.

  • Develop end-to-end cloud analytics solutions

  • Lead small teams of developers on BI projects on client projects in the greater Seattle region

  • Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders

  • Translate client user requirements into data flows, data mapping, etc.

  • Ensure that the design system runs efficiently and accurately

  • Create and deliver technical and project documentation as required throughout the project lifecycle

  • Deliver projects and solve problems within small, medium and large organizations utilizing disparate tools and methodologies

  • Deliver high quality projects on time and budget in adverse environments

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of BI development experience with 4+ of cloud analytics experience

  • Cloud solution implementation experience with some of the following technologies:

  • Jenkins

  • Sqoop

  • Hadoop including Hive and Pig

  • Spark and SparkSQL

  • AWS S3, Redshift, Dinamo DB

  • Azure Data Lake Store, HDInsight, U-SQL

  • Python, JSON, Java

  • Advanced data analysis skills including advanced SQL query capabilities

  • Deep experience in data modeling, data analysis and relational database design

  • Demonstrated ability to identify business and technical impacts of user requirements and incorporate them into the project schedule

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to work under pressure and to independently handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Experience working with large datasets (over 100M rows)

  • Experience with Talend / Informatica is a plus

  • Experience building real time or near real time BI solutions for PROD

  • An undergraduate degree in technology or business is required

  • Cloud certification (AWS or GCE) is a plus

This position is focused on VMware's vRealize products (www.vmware.com/products/vrealize-suite.html) and will also cover our new SaaS based solutions for Hybrid and Multi-Cloud environments. This role is right for you if you are an enthusiastic, self-starter with a charismatic personality. Business Summary: In this Senior Solution Engineering (SE) specialist cloud management role, you represent at least two main domains of equal importance – automation and operations analytics. We strive to help our customers deliver the self-service portals that will delight their end users. We educate them on the path to automating everything in their private, hybrid and multi-cloud environments. It's not just VMs and Containers we are delivering but also our SaaS Cloud Services (https://cloud.vmware.com/vrealize-automation-cloud). The majority of time, you will be in front of customers, educating them on the power of our solutions. When not with customers, you will be supporting the extended team and staying in touch with the business units. As a member of the SE team will also be responsible for educating other people at VMware, as well as our partners and customers. You will learn new things on this team! Roles and Responsibilities: * Evangelize VMware's strategy driving product demonstrations to customer executives and technical leaders within the GEH SLED vertical * Provide expert technical support for opportunities involving VMware management and integration into existing management and monitoring systems. * Lead Proof of Concept exercises for vRealize products in customer labs to validate solutions * Maintain deep technical knowledge of Cloud solutions, industry directions and trends. * Maintain working knowledge of peer and competitor products * Provide consultative support to the Field and Partner Training organization for development of deep technical GTM training material and positioning * Work collaboratively with Product Management, Technical Marketing and Engineering during the development, launch and continuing refinement of VMware products * Maintain, grow and leverage technical pre-sales relationships with key VMware Partner Field Organizations * Lead the technical pre-sales community discussions and facilitate knowledge dissemination to the VMware and Partner Subject Matter Experts with regards to VMware products in conjunction with Cloud solutions and architectures * Document best practices & architectural references in developing and deploying VMware Cloud solutions Required Skills: * 6+ years of experience in technology related areas including: enterprise systems management and infrastructure (Datacenter) architecture experience with significant depth around designing, implementing, and managing critical business infrastructure. * Strong technical proficiency with both mainstream and emerging automation and configuration management solutions.
