Sr. Data Migration Specialist

How you'll make an impact

How will I contribute to the business?

As a Sr. Data Migration Specialist, you will be a key member of the GBS IT Data team. This job involves working with a current system based in Salesforce, focusing on analyzing its data model and content. The role requires performing data profiling to identify anomalies for clean-up, collaborating with developers and experts to create data mapping documents for migration, and developing, maintaining, and documenting the migration scripts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the data model and data of the current system which is in Salesforce.

  • Perform data profiling on the current system to identify data anomaly, so the business can perform data clean-up based on the finding.

  • Work with the development team and subject matter experts to create data mapping document for the migration.

Develop, maintain, and document the migration scripts.

About You

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Dynamics 365 CE data model

  • Extensive knowledge and hand-on experience on Azure Data Factory

  • Have done 2 to 3 data migration projects that Dynamics 365 CE was the target system.

  • Have experience of handling the following scenarios

  • One time load vs Delta load

  • Exception handling

  • Performance tuning

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
