Under direction of the Associate Director, Events, manage events associated with campus facilities maintained by the Division of Student Affairs. Meet with clients to ensure coordination of all venue-related aspects of events including set-ups, technical requirements, capacity and crowd control.
Work with campus services units, including police, fire, TAPS, EH&S, and Risk Management to ensure the safe and successful production of events. Approve event reservations submitted by campus departments and student organizations. Develop event diagrams using CAD software.
Produce and submit estimates and bills for events. Recruit, train and supervise student staff. Administer policies for student organizations, campus departments, and off campus event clients.
Lift up to 50 lbs. of event and production equipment.
May work at heights of up to 55 feet.
Position is a mandatory reporter for known or suspected child abuse and requires that a statement acknowledging the requirement to report child abuse be signed.
Work flexible schedule; working hours include evening, weekends, and occasional holidays.
CPR & AED certification required.

Experience in public assembly and facility management practices and procedures.
Experience in coordinating events, including performances, lectures, banquets, conferences, trade shows, and athletic events.
Experience with event scheduling and booking procedures.
Experience training and supervising staff.
Experience setting up and trouble-shooting audio-visual equipment.
Decision-making and problem solving skills.
Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various constituencies from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives in professional manner.
Organizational and multi-tasking skills to effectively manage simultaneous needs of a high volume programming; set workload priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of fire and safety codes, regulations and emergency procedures related to public assembly facilities.
Experience with computer software program Vectorworks or other CAD based systems.
Skills to analyze financial data to develop and adhere to budgets.
Writing skills to author reports, correspondence, etc.
