Senior Data CenterApplication Engineer

What you will do

    • Lead the development of astandardized (to JCI) library of design best practices to aid local branchesand contractors in estimation, engineering, installation, and commissioning ofData Center controls projects.
    • Design and estimate Data Centercontrols projects, either independently or in collaboration with localbranches/contractors.
    • Define and maintainingstandard applications for Data Center controls.
    • Drive adoption of DataCenter controls best practices into local branch/contractors.
    • Identify products andproduct features that are unique to the Data Center market and drive those needsinto product development roadmaps.
    • Provide direction andsupport to branches and contractors with regards to Data Center controlsprojects.

How you will do it

    • By effectivelycollaborating with Data Center project sales personnel and Data Centercustomers to fully understand their controls needs and expectations.
    • By understandingavailable product technologies, design possibilities, and installationprocedures and applying them to meet Data Center controls requirements.
    • By working closely with thelocal branches to ensure Data Center controls projects are implementedaccording to standardized design best practices and that critical metrics,including customer satisfaction, cost, schedule, and profitability are beingmet.
    • By providing training andsupport to the local branches on the standardized Data Center design bestpractices.

    • Experience in theestimation, design, and commissioning of Data Center controls projects
    • Experience in designing,engineering, and programming Data Center HVAC control systems
    • Ability to effectively adjustcommunication style to present solutions in front of customers who have a widerange of technical aptitude.
    • Ability to influenceothers without having direct supervision authority.

Work as a member of the IT AssetManagement team, primarily supporting the Hardware Asset Management function How you will do it The Hardware Asset Management Analystshould have the demonstrated ability to analyze, research, resolve questionsand/or concerns, and possess the ability to learn quickly and adjust totechnology changes. A proficiency in system management and back officeprocesses is preferred. Individual must communicate clearly, diplomatically andeffectively at all levels of the organization and to audiences with varyingdegrees of process and technical knowledge. * Trackand manage IT assets throughout their life cycle, ensuring logical andconsistent operational processes are defined and standard systems areimplemented to acquire and maintain IT assets in a CMDB * Ensureaccurate and complete asset information is available to supply financialreporting * Enhancebusiness decision-making * Improvetime-to-market and manage supply chain issues with hardware supplier * Manageasset-related liabilities and risks * Improvecustomer service and responsiveness * Establisha foundation for services including Information Security * InventoryManagement * ProblemManagement * ComplianceManagement * Executepolicy and process in support of ITAM program goals * Manageand improve the hardware lifecycle process, from receiving to disposal * Improvethe quality of hardware data in the IT asset repository * Assistin providing key analytical reporting * Supportsenior team members in projects and audits * Serviceenterprise customers by responding to hardware asset requests * Assistthe IT Asset and Data Manager with audits and report generation. * Maintainthe configuration management database for accuracy and consistency. * Ensuresthe CMDB is updated upon successful change implementation. * Collectand retain asset data for risk and cost assessment.
