Sr Data Architect

Position Overview:

The senior data architect will be responsible for creating and implementing data architectures that meet the business needs and objectives of the company. The senior data architect will work closely with data engineers, data analysts, the business intelligence team, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of the data solutions. The senior data architect will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and data engineers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBITLIES include the following and all other duties assigned:

• Design and develop data models, schemas, pipelines, and processes that support the data strategy and vision of the company.

• Optimize and improve the performance, efficiency, and security of the data solutions.

• Implement and enforce data governance, quality, and standards across the data lifecycle.

• Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand the data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.

• Research and evaluate new data technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance the data capabilities and innovation of the company.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data architects and data engineers.

• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field.

• At least 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data analysis.

• Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, etc.).

• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, ETL, data quality, and data governance.

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).

• Experience with big data technologies and frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).

• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
