The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for establishing enterprise data lake/data warehouse solutions that integrate data from across the Company, supporting a diverse reporting and analytic needs. This position requires broad knowledge of the information technology landscape, stretching from networking to BDAs/DBAs. The architect is responsible for determining if emerging technology or existing platforms, best meet the demanding time and cost constraints, while being reliable, scalable, flexible and low maintenance.


Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

  • Conduct data requirements assessment and design sessions with data management project teams

  • Work with data suppliers to establish input and interface specifications

  • Guide the XDL & XDW development teams on how to source system data, and approve the overall architectural solution

  • Work with data suppliers to establish input and interface specifications

  • Work with development teams to establish best practices and guidelines

  • Drive business and IT alignment to leverage reusable architecture capabilities

  • Collaborate with IT management to define and develop technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices

  • Act as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration

  • Interact and consult with appropriate business analysts, project managers and developers to understand application/project requirements and define architectural solutions to meet those requirements

  • Work with the application solutions delivery teams in the development of services, components, standards, and frameworks required to support Charter's business strategy (e.g. design patterns, reusable components)

  • Ensure that projects follow the prescribed development life cycle and meet quality standards

  • Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues/decisions

  • Conduct code reviews for all major initiatives

  • Analyze and recommend software acquisitions and alternative solutions, methodologies, strategies and tools

  • Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the Cable and IT industry and make appropriate development recommendations

  • Identify and communicate risks associated with component or application implementation

  • Provide superior support and guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development and testing processes


Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Experience building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions

  • Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation

  • Ability to compose detailed documents for technical standards, solution templates and procedures/troubleshooting documents

  • Ability to define and summarize technical dependencies

  • Ability to speak contemporaneously about technical and business strategies for senior technical and business executives


BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience

Related Work Experience
12 years experience with system installation, configuration and operations (Cannot change #of years of Related work experience)
8 years of software or DB development
6 years of DB schema design or XL message design and web service design
4 years of building automation tools (ANT, Maven, Jenkins) and testing automation tools (SoapUI, JUnit)


Related Work Experience
6 years of software or DB development in Teradata and Big Data platforms, cloud and on premise
5 years of ETL/ELT technology across multiple tools such as Ab Initio, Informatica, Talend, Composite, etc.
2 years Hadoop and related utilities and concepts such as Hive, Sqoop, HDFS, YARN, Spark, MapR, etc.

The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. Enterprise Data Remediation (EDR) team members are an important part of the overall data management framework. EDR provides support to First Line of Defense (Line of Business and functional support teams) partners responding to governmental, legal, and other urgent demand to design and implement solutions for collecting, managing, and consuming data. The EDR team provides four key functions to support the Enterprise Data Remediation mission: * Support for Data Issue Prioritization * Data Issue Triage & Disposition * Data Issue Assessment & Solution Design * Data Issue Remediation (Solution Implementation) The Sr. Data Analyst -Analytic Consultant 5 will report directly to the Senior Remediation Lead - Analytic Manager for the Lending Products, Deposits, Payments and Master & Reference Data Remediation Team. The Sr. Data Analyst will help build the foundation of a new Lending Products remediation team and be responsible for leading analysis, research, sourcing, and reporting efforts across the enterprise. This individual helps the team by bringing a robust set of data mining, development, and analytic skills to the table to help interrogate the systems and data related to the reported issue. This role has a focus on data tools experience and implementation of solutions to do deep dives into data systems and automation to interrogate and perform comparative analysis and to recommend solutions aligned to target state. Key Responsibilities: * Lead medium and high priority data issue remediation efforts for risk and regulatory reporting requirements, business data needs and business processes that impact the Enterprise. * Lead in depth analysis and sizing of medium and high priority data issues, understanding the impact of each issue to Risk and Regulatory reports. * Drive the design of near term solutions where appropriate. Solutions may require solving for a combination of policy and process gaps, designing new tools / systems or enhancing existing tools or systems, enhancing or correcting reporting logic, modifying data feeds, and/or correcting or enhancing data controls. While ensuring that near term and long term solutions satisfy both the needs and requirements of the Regulators, and the data needs and strategy of Wells Fargo. * Drive the development of prototypes or proof-of-concepts as appropriate. * Establish and maintain relationships with partners across line of business, data sponsors, enterprise data governance, technology, operations, risk, finance, and project teams leveraging the lending products data. * Provide data analysis support to audit and regulatory agencies, as necessary. * Produce adhoc reporting and analysis as necessary. * Autonomously execute assessments or remediation plans as dictated by management, or collaborate with a team aligned against the same goals.
