The Data Architecture will provide overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation for the development of current and future architecture required to meet Safelite needs, goals, and strategic direction. Responsibilities include the development of strategies aligning IT to Safelite, advocacy and support of current IT strategies, identification and analysis of Safelite's drivers to derive useful context,and analysis of the current IT ecosystem to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement. Solutions Data Architects are responsible for improving business performance or cost optimization through enterprise information solutions, such as master data management, metadata management, business intelligence, content management, data interoperability, analytics, data integration and related information infrastructure components.
Researches, designs, and develops solutions to highly complex and technical issues. Sets information & data architecture standards and methodologies.
Develop & design data architecture, workflows, data flows, and databases, provide guidance to BI Analysts, Solution Architects.
Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-based data structures such as data marts, data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines.
Builds prototypes to demonstrate design concepts.
Provides technical consultation to ensure successful completion of complex assignments.
Leads design reviews that drive best practices and compliance with standards.
Support exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and machine learning models.
Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, or Computer/Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience required.
Eight or more years experience working in IT, with 2 years of experience with cloud computing, including infrastructure, storage, platforms and data management or 4 years of experience with traditional enterprise data-center technologies, including relational databases, storage appliances, virtual machines, and private networks.
*Minimum of 3 years' experience with Data Architecture concepts (such as Data Modeling, Integration, Storage, Indexing, Security, Logging, Data Quality, Master Data Management and Archiving)
*Minimum of 3 years' experience with Big Data NoSQL and NewSQL database (such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, MarkLogic, HBase, Redis, Aerospike, VoltDB)
Minimum of 1 years with Big data ingestion and integration tools experience Hadoop,Sqoop, Kafka, Flume, and Spark etc. on cloud/on premise.
Design, implementation, and maintenance of DB (Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL platforms)
Experience with data modeling and data modeling tools
Ability to guide, mentor and train other associates;
Ability to facilitate design sessions and communicate IT technical concepts to IT management;
Deep understanding of the current state of infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models.
