Responsibilities GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Manager, Data and Analytics and Market Director of Operations of AHN, the Population Health Information and Data Analyst plays an integral role on the AHN team in the development of essential data systems as well as the creation, analysis, and dissemination of reports related to quality, financial, care management, and network metrics of AHN's value-based initiatives. These reports will inform clinical, strategic, and operational decision-making. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and execution of project implementations that involve Information Technology. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Lead development and management of AHN provider roster database including maintenance of data integrity, continuous process improvement, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders on access, integrity, and adequacy * Manages and serves as a key contact for AHN's data applications including, but not limited to, Coreo® (i.e. Lightbeam), ACO Health Solutions, Quest Analytics, and other future applications purchased to expand AHN's data and analytic capabilities. * Coordinates data flow feeds from payers, other partners' EHR data, health information exchanges, employer clients, and facility and claims information through CHI Business Intelligence (BI) or other data exchange channels * Generates, maintains and analyzes reports regarding population health and quality outcomes * Maintains integrity of system information and implements projects and initiatives as needed to improve processing and reporting * Prepares and disseminates population health performance dashboard reports related to quality, financial, utilization, care management, network integrity, and other performance data as identified by AHN leadership and contract stakeholders. * Provides support to the physicians and management staff of AHN on quality and performance improvement initiatives * Collaborates with clinic staff, practice coaches, network development team, and care management team to improve data integrity, cost and quality outcomes * Coordinates and monitors activities assigned by AHN leadership involving IT project implementations and schedules. * Consults with AHN leadership regarding project priorities, timelines and assignments * Maintains detailed knowledge of AHN applications, systems and programs * Data and analytical support for AHN Board Committees as needed - IT & Analytics, Finance & Contracting, Clinical Care, and Network Development. * Coordinates and analyzes test data for accuracy and confers/consults with other employees/vendors as needed. * Uses effective problem solving skills in dealing with issues and problems within projects. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Bachelor's Degree or higher Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field with strong emphasis on data analysis. * Minimum of two years in hospital data management or in physician practice management. * Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet applications, including use of Pivot tables * Expert Knowledge of Current and Previous Versions of MS Office Access systems. * Knowledge on Database design, information management, data integration and optimizing system. * Create new data models and enhance existing models to streamline data storage processes. * Expertise working with Access and VBA applications. * Experience with RDBMS.(ORACLE,My SQL, My SQL server) * Experience in designing and implementing online forms used for data collection and data processing. * Ability to consolidate data across multiple sources and databases. * Implementation of new data management strategies. * Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot errors and experience in data cleanup process. * Working Knowledge on ETL process and ability to improve existing ETL process. * Experience with Tableau or QlikView a plus * Well-versed in multiple clinic EMR platforms. Preference for: eClinical Works, Epic, Athena, Meditech, Allscripts, Greenway, and GEMMS * Experience with state and payer-based data sources, such as Arkansas SHARE (Health Information Exchange) and AHIN (Advanced Health Information Network). * Ability to oversee and positively impact clinical operations in a healthcare organization * Solid understanding of the business and financial considerations of a healthcare organization, including but not limited to, excellent analytical skills, data aggregation, analysis, interpretation, and application * Proven ability to translate business needs into data requirements * Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with internal staff and external providers * Proven skills and judgment necessary for independent decision-making * Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and within a team environment * Knowledge of and practical use of good business English, spelling, arithmetic, practices and the ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.
