Sr. Data Analyst needs 5 years or more of hands on data analysis experience

Sr. Data Analyst requires:

  • Proven experience with SQL and databases such as MySQL, Hadoop/Impala, Oracle, etc.
  • Proficient with Tableau (required) and Alteryx (preferred)
    * • Strong written, spoken, and presentation communication skills
    * • Proven ability to take the needs of a business partner and multiple sources of data and devise a clear approach to analyzing the data, visualizing, and telling the story to help the business partner
    * • An analytical mindset that lends itself towards problem solving
    * • A true passion for analytics
  • B.S. in a relevant field such as Data Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.

Sr. Data Analyst duties:

• Develop, implement and maintain Tableau analytical dashboards to support business and IT groups across the Digital organization. Include customer analytics, web & channel analytics, marketing analytics and omnichannel analytics.
• Identify key business problems & develop viable, data-supported hypotheses in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide high-quality, unbiased data analysis and analytical solutions that support business objectives.
• Take accountability of data analysis, and present a clear and accurate interpretation of results.
• Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes by leveraging a wide range of environments and technologies.
• Work closely within a team structure and demonstrate successful collaboration with other team members.

Bank of America is looking for a Senior Quantitative Finance Analyst to join the Financial Crimes Analytics (FCA) team within Enterprise Risk Analytics. As one of the world's largest financial institutions, Bank of America plays a vital role in creating a financial system that is transparent and safe from criminals and terrorists. FCA provides quantitative capabilities supporting Global Financial Crimes Compliance in the bank's strategic efforts to counter money laundering and terrorist financing and comply with economic sanctions related requirements. FCA maintains a portfolio of models used by the bank's automated anti-money laundering detection and monitoring platform. The team also performs annual performance assessments on other analytical tools and systems used by teams across Global Financial Crimes Compliance. As part of FCA, the candidate will be responsible for model development, enhancement, implementation, backtesting, production, ongoing monitoring, periodic review, reporting, and documentation. In addition, as a senior analyst, the candidate will also provide thought leadership and hands-on expertise in methodology development, process improvements, stakeholder engagement, and peer coaching. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn the latest development in AML/Economic Sanctions, interact with industry leading subject matter experts, apply an extensive set of quantitative methods to meet business/risk management/regulatory requirements, and develop a career in this fast-paced and ever-changing world.
