Sr. Data Analysis Manager

As a Senior Manager, you will partner cross-functionally with teams throughout the company to validate business impacting analytical tools. You will enhance your technical and analytical skills, while also working with leaders to influence business strategies. On a given day you will be:

  • Refining a new Enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework

  • Planning and executing validation projects

  • Assessing the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One, and the nature of tools usage within those processes

  • Validating tools at tool initiation and during the annual inventory update

  • Understanding technical issues in analytical tools and assessing tools risks and opportunities

  • Independently researching, identifying, and prototyping industry best practices for emerging analytical tools

  • Communicating results clearly and concisely both verbally and through written communications via validation reports and presentations

  • Leveraging education, colleagues and training opportunities to develop solutions to business problems

  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff

An ideal candidate will possess strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities in addition to communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. This position will be in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where you will be handling multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 5 years of work experience with data analysis

  • At least 2 years of experience with open source data technologies

  • At least 1 year of experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in a Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field

  • At least 7 years of experience in statistical or econometrics hands-on work

  • At least 5 years of experience manipulating and performing analysis with large data sets

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry

  • At least 5 years of experience in developing statistical or econometric models

  • At least 5 years of experience in validating statistical or econometric models

  • At least 2 years of experience with data governance

  • At least 2 years of experience with predictive analytics

Job Description The Development Department's Operations team is seeking a passionate, strategic, organized, and highly motivated Manager of Business and Data Analysis to join its growing team. The Manager of Business and Data Analysis will lead data integrity and oversee a team of three Data Analysts. The Operations team supports MSK's fundraising goals through the creation of innovative technology and process solutions. Performance expectations: * Analyze and advance functionality for Blackbaud CRM system, the fundraising database of record for MSK, and other software applications serving MSK Development. * Collaborate with fundraisers, senior leadership, operations, and our vendor partners to seek out, recommend and implement best practices and improvements to current process. * Review functional specs, test customizations, and ensure that software solutions are aligned with users' needs. * Analyze user experience and recommend potential improvements. * As a system administrator, manage front-end changes to database configuration. * Lead data validation and UAT efforts for database upgrades. * Oversee data integrity within Blackbaud CRM: Monitor data hygiene, identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategic plans, and prioritize projects. * Set team/project goals and ensure that they are met on time and to specification. * Measure project results and provide status reports to leadership. * Manage daily operations of the Data Analysis team including user support, file acquisition, global changes, and other bulk processes. * Support user training and collaborate with team to develop new courseware and process documentation.
